Tony Robbins New Baby Via Surrogate
You know those celebrities or public figures that really make you feel like you know them? For me, Tony Robbins is one of those guys. I mean, we’re homeboys in my head. I don’t really know him but I have awoken my giant within so, I feel like me and Tony are here.
And I just heard through the grapevine that Tony Robbins and his amazing wife, Sage, welcomed a wonderful, amazing little gift recently. They had a baby through surrogacy. So, let’s talk about some of that.
What’s up? My name is Corlandos Scott and I am surrogacy attorney in Los Angeles and my practice revolves around helping people grow their family through the help of assisted reproductive technologies like surrogacy.
So, let’s talk about how the process happens and how it can even happen if you’re not an international self-help guru like Tony Robbins. So, one of the cool things about Tony Robbins’s surrogacy journey is reportedly, a friend of theirs helped to make it happen.
So, that could’ve been either an altruistic or compensated surrogacy arrangement. Either way, congratulations are definitely in order for the Robbins. But just to draw the difference for those who are not yet familiar with the different types of surrogacy, on one hand there’s altruistic surrogacy arrangements which means that the surrogate doesn’t get any compensation except maybe reimbursements for any out of pocket expenses that she might or might not have occurred during the process.
On the hand, there’s a compensated surrogacy arrangement where the surrogate gets a base compensation on top of a benefits package that really just outlines everything that the intended parents or the hopeful parents will cover or be responsible for in the way of finances throughout the entire process.
Now, this ranges from health insurance to house keeping and child care, even doctor’s appointments and other travel expenses so you have lost wages. You have all those types of different things like medical procedures and this is what the surrogate will be reimbursed or compensated for.
Now, Tony Robbins is an American author, a coach, a speaker, a philanthropist. One of the nation’s top life and business strategist and he’s basically all over the place, man. So, whether you’re a Tony Robbins fan or TR as I call him, I mean, I don’t call him that to his face because we never talked face to face.
Although you could have called me , Tony because I really could have helped you through this surrogacy, but I’m over that. I’m over that. Like, how can the preeminent self-help guy not contact the preeminent surrogacy guy when he’s going through a surrogacy? But I digressed.
So, whether you’re a TR fan or not, you might still be wondering, “Why would a successful celebrity like Tony Robbins go through surrogacy?” Well, let’s talk about it. So for one, let me just say this.
Surrogacy is not just for international best-sellers. Surrogacy is for everyone and I think Tony actually mentioned surrogacy back in an interview he did in 2018 when he said that the only impossible journey is the one you never began.
Okay, he probably wasn’t talking about surrogacy when he said that but surrogacy is definitely a journey and he and Sage did it. They went through that journey. And like most people, Tony probably didn’t just jump into the process, and that’s something I hope that you take away from this.
You don’t just jump into the process. And you know, Tony went on to begin the journey which recently resulted in he and Sage’s beautiful baby, but it didn’t just start with jumping right into it. There was a video that Tony posted on the Surrogacy Choices of New York page and he used several hashtags about surrogates and surrogacy and it was back sometime in February and that was really quite telling about how A.
R.T or assisted reproductive technologies had really won his heart. So, it didn’t come as a surprise when Tony announced the recent journey that he’s taken with his wife, Sage, and how they walked the surrogacy path by welcoming their first daughter born through surrogacy.
They’re the rainbow baby, as Tony would refer to their daughter. You know, something that Tony said that stuck with me is that life is forever changing and it’s out job to find the deeper meaning in it.
And in the process of finding that meaning, I believe that Tony found someone who can do something which most intended parents consider when they walk down the surrogacy path and that’s an act that you can never really repay.
And as I’ve mentioned in other videos or earlier, that there are 2 types of surrogacy. There’s altruistic and compensated. And both involve an act that you can never repay, that’s a surrogate who’s willing to go through the risks of pregnancy for you.
You really can’t put a dollar sign on that. And for me, that’s the sum of assisted reproductive technologies. You know, I’d love to hear your feed back on what you think about becoming a parent, being a parent, the struggles that some people go through just to obtain parenthood and whether you think there’s a deeper meaning and if so, what is that deeper meaning? I know, Tony’s got us going deep on this episode.
And while you’re at it, go ahead and subscribe and like it if you like the video and you know what? Share it with somebody. As a matter of fact, go ahead and share it with Tony. Let him know that we’re saying congratulations to him over here, okay? I’m not even mad.
I’m not even mad that we didn’t get to work together. I’m just saying congrats Tony. So, share the video with him. Now, of course, any time you hear about a celebrity going through the surrogacy process, everybody wants to ask why did they do it or what led them to do it and really, why or what led Tony Robbins and his wife to go through the surrogacy process? It’s immaterial, it doesn’t matter.
His wife and his decision to have a child through surrogacy doesn’t really matter to me at all. But, for the sake of argument because that’s kind of what I do on a daily basis, there are many reasons why people go through surrogacy and I kind of want to talk about it.
For instance, there’s medical conditions like infertility, known or unknown reasons behind infertility. There’s age, there’s biological limitations like the case of same-sex marriages or partners. There’s single men and single women who need the help of someone else in order to procreate.
There’s all kinds of reasons. You know, really chief about the reasons for surrogacy and infertility is age. Age is one of the most common reasons apart from medical conditions. So, if we’re gonna make a random guess and we know that age is a factor in fertility, then we have to consider the fact that, you know, Tony is already 61.
Now, Tony Robbins is not your typical 61 year old so if you look at him, you probably wouldn’t guess he’s 61, but age factors into fertility and there’s not way around that. At the end of the day, Tony and Sage are celebrating something that we already know, and that’s what A.
R.T means to the world and why people choose it apart from obvious reasons. Really, it’s about he invaluable decision of a surrogate willing to help a couple have a child by carrying the baby for those hopeful parents.
It’s about the donors and, you know, since I’m talking about Tony, I’m kind of feeling my inner-life coach coming out and as tony said once, just like how spring welcomes the end of winter, assisted reproductive technologies is very similar to spring.
It’s the start of something new: a new beginning, a new or renewed hope, it’s new life and it is birth. It’s literally the birth of something as beautiful as being blessed with, as Tony put it, a rainbow baby.
So, if you’re looking to grow your family through surrogacy, remember, you don’t have to be an international best-seller. There’s a way for you to get started. And if you want more information on how to embark on the surrogacy path, I have something especially for you.
