TIME TO THRIVE CHALLENGE DAY 1 – Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi
This is tony robbins and dean graziosi's time to thrive challenge the best bits and takeaways hey hey hey hello everyone my name is emily joan smith day one was opening up our mind to the possibility and opportunity that today's world can give us the fact that we have social media.
The internet the fact that we've had a global pandemic and what can we do to go from survive to thrive this is a five-day challenge that tony robbins and dean graziosi has put together so i don't want to take too long because this section this day was actually like four hours long and i've got notes from a lot of it and i don't want to take up too.
Much of your time because that's not what i'm here for dean graziosi started off by saying how a lot of us often focus on the wrong and what we need to do is shift our mind to the opportunity no one else is coming to save us no one we can wish we can hope with all our might but no one is coming to save us so.
Guess who that leaves to save ourselves ourselves he asks the question who believes they're meant for more and if you are watching this video right now if you are getting up to date with these days if you are putting in the effort if you are putting the hours if you are here watching me if you're here watching them.
You want more from your life you know you deserve more he said that uncertainty is inevitable and we've had a lot of uncertainty over the last two years wouldn't you rather prepare and anticipate than react when things like covered when things like natural disasters when things like life gets in our way.
Wouldn't you rather be prepared for it than have to react to it that's what these next five days are about one of the fastest growing industries is the self-education industry the self-education industry is the industry where people are taking what they've learned from their stories from their life from their.
Background and giving it to you on a platter of workshops or facebook lives or seminars or um one-to-ones the thing is so many of us go through a lot of things in life and so many of those things are so similar he asked us if you had a day with your 20 year old.
Self what would you say to them if you could give them advice on relationships or if you could give them advice on their health or business what would you say to them because this is what the self-education industry is it's someone taking what they've learned for the last.
10 years putting it into a learnable structure for someone else to learn in a day so that they don't have to have the same problems they don't have to have the same strife they don't have to have the same roadblocks because if someone or if you could give your 20 year old self 10 years worth of learnings that you've.
Had in a day in three days in a week what price would you put on that it's priceless and that's what the self education industry is you have gone through something in your life that someone else is going through right now and they could use your knowledge they could use your help they are in need of what you have to.
Offer people in the self education industry are bridge builders he showed us a diagram where it's like a straight line then a little lump and then a little straight line this straight line is you know life until you hit something hard like loss or you know struggle or covered or whatever in your life and it goes down and it.
Creates this curve and in that curve you learn something new you learn a skill you meet a new person you build yourself up you build your confidence and then you carry on with life so many people need that bridge so that they don't go in that dip and you have those learnings you have those lessons that you can share with people we're.
Bridge builders next tony robbins took the stage tony said all you really need to have is the hunger to help people hunger takes you anywhere even if it's not the hunger to help people you just need hunger hunger your why you're the reason to do it that will take you places what makes you hungry for success success.
Leaves clues if someone is being successful continuously there is a structure there there is a strategy there and success leaves clues tony said that in every challenge there is a gift for example covid one of what was meant to be his last live performances it got cancelled because of covid so he moved.
It to vegas because he thought nope vegas is never going to close but vegas got closed so he thought what's never going to get closed a church so he moved at the church and a church the church got closed so he had to think on his feet he had to you know improvise he had to think and.
Change and adapt and what he did is he put his course on zoom and what he's realized now is that instead of reaching 250 000 people a year he's now reached over last year 2.5 million people through his courses and through his learning through every challenge there is a gift you just have to look for it you just have to search.
For it one of my favorite things that tony said which is so true is so many things in your life can be taken from you your job people and money whatever but one thing that cannot be taken from you is your knowledge when you invest in yourself when you invest in your knowledge your skills.
Those things cannot be taken from you so when you get hit back when you get knocked down those things are still not taken from you you are not starting from the beginning you are starting from knowledge you are starting from skills you have learned already and no one no one can take them away from you so.
Invest in yourself invest in skills in knowledge in communication invest in those really important things that no one can take away from you that you can you have yourself forever jim ron said we are all equal as souls we are not all equal in the marketplace.
What you do when you're off course in life determines where you get to in life it determines you know where you go in life what he meant was when you get off course when something knocks you off course when something knocks your confidence when something gets in the way there's a roadblock do you scream and shout like oh yeah no i don't know.
What i'm gonna do i need to start all over again it's all or nothing do you do that or do you say right okay let's just redirect ourselves a little bit because even though you may end up you know a little bit off course the latter you're gonna end more where you want to be than when you do when.
You're screaming and you're flapping and you're scared and you know tony said a leader is not someone who everyone follows it's a person who lives life on their own terms he said that there's three things that determine that mandates you know being a leader and not a follower the first.
Thing is you see things for how they are but not worse than it is so many of us will look at something and dwell on the bad dwell on the negative you've got to see things how they are but not worse than they actually are the thing is you have a 2 million year old brain and your 2 million year old brain wants to survive.
So your brain is always looking for the worst your brain is always looking out for caution looking out for danger so it's it's automatically looking for the negatives but we're not two million years ago anymore we've evolved we've moved forward as people we've moved forward as a community your two million year old.
Brain is there to help you survive not make you happy two see things as better than it is and three make it the way you see it tony said is there people who are really sexy out there who don't believe they're sexy yes are there people out there who are really.
Intelligent who don't believe they're intelligent yes well then that means beliefs aren't real the limiting beliefs that you have about yourself aren't real the next thing we spoke about was the tyranny of how so many people who want to achieve something in their life start with the how and when.
You start with the how you get freaked out many people who have had massive dreams in their life didn't know how it was going to happen but they know what they wanted and why they wanted it when you start with the how your doubt comes in your lack of self belief comes in your all the struggles and all the.
Hardship and all the roadblocks come in instead start with the what and the why because when you know what you want it's much easier to create a path and when you know why you want it it builds that belief to cover that what so you always go forward to go and get it there's this belief behind you this strength this you know this fire this this thing inside.
You that no one can put out tony said reasons come first answers come second if you have strong enough reasons the how will always come tony told us a story about a man who was looking for a spanish galleon he searched for not one not two not five but sixteen years until he.
Found his treasure he found half a billion in gold but he didn't give up it took him 16 years what would it take for you to last 16 years to keep going for 16 years at your dream what would it take you there's three core beliefs that will keep you going the first one is that it's out there you.
Have to believe that your dream is out there because if it's not out there why are you gonna even try secondly he said it has to be a i will i must do this i must find this i must get this treasure i must accomplish this dream the third core belief is it has to be worth it because.
If it's out there and you must do it you will do it but it's not worth it why are you gonna do it you have to have those three core beliefs about your dreams about your goals about your ambitions tony robbins left us with some homework the first thing was to write two goals you want to achieve in the next six to 12 months.
Number two why is that goal a must why must you achieve that goal not why should you don't should all over yourself but why must you achieve that goal three what's kept you from changing in the past four what needs to change now and five what are two action steps.
You're going to take to achieve those goals one big one small small one big one small next jenna kutcher took the stage jenna explained how so much in a year can change what do you want to change within the next year she explained how when she was in her office job a while back her boss came to her with a.
Five-year plan and laid it on the table and said look this is what we're doing for you jenna realized in that moment that she didn't want anyone else to control the next five years of her life her boss didn't even come to her and say what do you want what do you need where do you want to go she just laid out the plan in front of her jenna knew in that.
Moment not what she wanted but what she didn't want she explained how a lot of time in life you don't know what you want but there are things that you know you don't want adamant that you don't want start there if we don't take control of.
Our own life someone else will she spoke a lot about fearing other people's opinions when we ourselves change she said that when people fear our change it's because they're stuck themselves but she said what if it's not about them fearing us changing what if instead.
Us changing is the light is the reason is the lighthouse for other people to change with us she asked us what tiny action can we take that no one else will see but we will feel she explained how when you watch trees.
Grow it's like watching paint dry because you can't see what's happening on top it's mainly what's happening underneath the roots are growing stronger and that's like us as people a lot of the time people don't see us grow but we can feel it so what little action.
Can you take that other people may not see but you know you'll feel day one of time to thrive ended with some group homework of a what is my old belief b what is my new belief c what can my new belief help me achieve thank you so much for watching day one.
