today I have a super motivating cleaning
video actually if you follow me on
Instagram I was not super motivated this
day
I woke up so tired and just I know
definitely getting to that phase of just
being huge and my back hurts and tired
and all those things
but I decided I was going to do my
makeup put on some things and my cute
that still fits and just get to it when
I feel not motivated that’s like one of
my things is play with makeup watch some
YouTube and that usually gets me going
so that is how today started so if you
are not feeling motivated try that
sometimes just making yourself look good
and then watching a little bit of
motivation like you are right now is all
you need to get going but I hope you
guys are ready for some cleaning
motivation I actually filmed this over
two days and we did cleaning I also got
some new curtains that I put up and just
a bunch of stuff so I hope you guys

so my bedroom and bathroom are
definitely an area that no matter what
unless I’m like sick as a dog I try and
do this every single day I love just
having an area that if I need to get
away and just unwind for a second I can
go into my room and just relax having a
made bed or a clean bathroom to take a
really hot steamy shower those are just
things that make me feel so much better
and I personally as much as cleaning is
not fun like anyone that says they love
cleaning I always question it a little
bit I don’t love cleaning but I love the
results I love being able to go into a
room and feel relaxed when it’s clean
because if there’s chaos of toys
everywhere and things everywhere and
dirt everywhere I personally cannot
relax and just feel calm so I love
having these areas nice and clean so if
I need to unwind I go there and it’s
just a peaceful serene area to just be
me and get away sometimes because you
know as moms if you’re new here I have
two small boys we also have two large
dogs so there’s a lot on my plate and
sometimes we just need a second to get a
book a glass of tea something and unwind
and take a deep breath and know it’s all
gonna be okay

so I just finally pulled the trigger and
bought a new shark steam mop I actually
used to own one but it broke it actually
broke before even moving into this house
and I never just replaced it but I
finally got to a point where I was like
no I just want to replace it one this is
just super easy to use but also I love
using it to just disinfect and not have
to worry about using chemicals or
anything so I have been loving that I
finally pulled the trigger and bought a
new one I’m gonna have to definitely it
by water from the store to fill this
though because we have really hard water
and I’m pretty sure that’s why my last
one broke is the calcium buildup so I’m
gonna definitely take a lot better care
of this shark steam mop and just baby it
because I don’t want to see a break now
that I haven’t won again I remember how
much I love this thing

and then after I was done in the bedroom
I moved on to downstairs now usually
when it comes to like my kitchen I
usually tackle the like major cleaning
after lunch just because I like doing
the upstairs in the morning and then I
honestly figure might as well wait till
after lunch and clean up all the dishes
from breakfast and lunch all at the same
time the kitchen is just somewhere that
it always is nice to have it clean but I
swear it only ever lasts about five
minutes and then it’s a mess again

now I knew I had grocery pick up the
next day so one thing I did want tackle
was cleaning out my fridge my fridge is
something that I try and do about every
other week
nothing like super crazy but just take
everything out clean the shelves get rid
of any leftovers that have gone bad or
anything that’s expired and I normally
do it the day of or the day before any
big groceries because that way it’s nice
and clean and when I come home with
groceries I can just nicely put
everything in there I’ve learned that if
I do it once a week once every two weeks
it just stays a lot nicer cuz let’s be
honest those Pinterest organized
refrigerators we all love them but they
don’t stay that way but you can help
that situation just by tackling it a
little bit more often and then you
really never need to worry about
scrubbing anything nasty out of your
fridge unless you have a really big
spill so that is something I highly
recommend I am all about cleaning things
more often but it’s a lot easier then
once a year but it’s a huge project

all right so this is actually the next
day pretty much what I did the rest of
the day yesterday was laundry but I
don’t mind washing and drying but
putting away is not my favorite thing
so I normally have about two or three
baskets worth of clothes to fold and put
away and I want to tackle this right
away in the morning that way I had no
excuses can’t be like oh I did all of
this and I was so tired no the laundry
is done and I need to worry about that
so that’s what I’m just doing here in
the laundry room I normally try and
separate my husband’s clothes and my
clothes and the towels and put those all
in one or two baskets and bring those to
our room and then all the boys clothes I
bring directly to their room in another
basket
it’s normally how I do it straight out
of the dryer it makes it seem a little
bit less chaotic than just everything
all mixed together so right here you
really just see my husband’s stuff and
my stuff and the towels that need to be
done but I have to say I sped this up
eight times normal speed I wish it took
this short amount of time to put
everything away the way it’s supposed to
and fold it the way it’s supposed to but
this is always a good 30 minute project
to some kind of an hour if I really
slack off

and then I was putting up my new
curtains I was so excited to do this I
have been wanting to do this for a while
however I love love love these curtains
and I’m taking down and I had a really
hard time pulling the trigger getting
rid of them well now with baby girl
coming I have decided that these
curtains are going in her bedroom and I
could actually replace these to go
floor-to-ceiling curtains which I love
like I’m looking at them right now and
I’m just in love with the way these new
curtains look and I’m not getting rid of
my old ones because I can repurpose them
in the nursery so that made me really
happy my husband had actually the night
before raised all the curtain rods while
I was in bed so all I had to do is take
them down and put the new ones up so I
was very appreciative of that because
honestly I’m a little too short to be
able to do this well on my own so it was
just a lot easier for him to do it and
he’s not a morning person so he was way
more like willing to do it at night
then waking up early before having to go
help a friend out in the morning so I
just had to put the new curtains on Oh
also a little trick I don’t know if you
didn’t see it in here but I have
actually been saving toilet paper rolls
and cutting them in half that way I
could get neater pleats between the
curtains I don’t have enough yet to do
it to all of them but I have to say I
love this little hack it just gives you
that nice pleat and it’s that perfect
separation to just make it look so much
neater so if you have curtains like
these start saving some toilet paper
rolls because it’s easy and it just
makes things look so much nicer

down so I figured why even bother until
I had everything up and then I would go
back and vacuum and mop and do all the
things
