i sold passive income on an ongoing basis in thousands of kids across the world what we what we did is we sold fly tying kits to fly fishermen this is fly fishing materials and it was a very good niche and you know it was blessed to be featured in a lot of different places that like business insider and other magazines and things but i was also a lead singer and a rock band before that okay and i toured through 17 countries for the uso entertaining american troops abroad uh but probably more relevant for you for today is american fly tires which was the online business i originally started created 500 000 in passive income a year on automatic okay this is automatic pilot and that’s probably what you’re looking for here that’s probably why you’re here now to be honest with you i’ve done some things right finally and i’ve had a lot of success that i’m really grateful for and i’m blessed to be able to get but i’ve also done a lot of things along the way like i’ve struggled on the way up i mean it hasn’t always looked the way it looks right now in fact here’s my story like really brief just to give you a context of how i started this online business and how it’s relevant to you here’s a picture of me in 2008.

this is the image i had of myself back then you know i wanted to be a rock star i knew music i knew guitar i knew singing new songwriting and recording and this was my world and i thought i could make a living being a musician and that’s what i tried really hard to do i tried to be a singer and like i said we finally nailed that usl uso tour after uh entertaining american troops abroad through 17 countries england iceland norway sweden holland belgium all through italy which was pretty fun and that was extreme privilege for me to take our music to the american troops and you know when they hear a song that they like i could see their faces light up so to me to go over there and serve people in that way especially our troops the people that protect our country was really an honor for me but this version of bradley you see on the screen here never realized that the knowledge that he had of marketing could pay his bills in another way in a way that he could like actually share his knowledge with others on online that can actually help other people make a living doing what they love and you know my experience with like other businesses online businesses that i’ve created have all come out of my heart it’s all come from what i loved and from what i know and i know the same is true for you you know there’s something deep inside you that you love that you’re passionate about that can also make you a living and can also increase the quality of other people’s lives okay because the reason why you can do this is because the way the world works now the way the internet and the way the tools work what you know what you love and what you’re good at can translate into great income for you and something that you can count on and it’s like a win-win situation because you’re serving other people along the way now i finally found the right method after i struggled you know like i said i almost lost everything uh close to bankruptcy fails on a lot of areas on the way up it was not pretty finally when i got it right things start to move ahead and that’s what i’m really here to show you is the right blueprint so you have to go through what i went through i learned the hard way i had no one helping me i had no workshops like this you know it was like seven eight years of just like struggling online um to finally get the right strategy and that was painful now this is the hard way and this is the hard way that you will have if you want to go the way i did but i don’t think you do you know you could go out there you could read every single book that’s out there you could be like get every bit of conflicting advice that’s online but that’s exhausting or you could spend years of blogging or podcasting or putting up youtube videos only to get like trickles of traffic to your website or just to be just like one more drip in the internet ocean if you will and i know what that feels like to think that like nobody knows that your website even exists it’s a terrible feeling and i don’t want that for you or you could give up hours of your life every week working on your website your social media or your product or when you see like a bit of revenue or a trickle of people coming in or you could hire like a let’s say a business coach for like 7 500 up to 10 000 to help you and that will work but that’s gonna cost a lot of money but my question for you other than that is do you want a proven simple way to make substantial and consistent income online doing what you like now the key words there are substantial and consistent now this is without having to quit your day job or give up your nights and weekends and without having to spend like time and money wandering around the passive income landscape hoping something will work for you because did did it i mean good for you you finally got there and passive income is a turn that’s thrown out there a lot and people some people they get cynical about it for good reason but let me clarify the big answer is that you can do this it is absolutely possible for you or anyone else today i’m going to show you how as long as you’re just dedicated to go through the steps the simple blueprint and now it’s just like written out for you but let me get something clear here passive income does not mean you won’t have to work on this you don’t just make money by magic what passive income online does mean is you do a fixed amount of work okay and in turn you get a disproportional or a scalable amount of income that’s income that continues to grow as you only put a certain amount of of effort into it so you have a limited amount of work over here but you scale the income beyond that so here’s the four components you need to create an automated income machine doing what you love passive income component number one need remarkable content that goes out to the world for free so you create your tribe now the best way by far to create a big tribe and is to get content like remarkable create remark so i get so excited i just stutter but so much information coming in my brain i want to tell you about but it’s getting out information to people getting out content to people that is good for them is creating good content that increases the quality of their lives and this that’s why i get so excited because it’s a win-win situation as you do this you become greater as a human being and so do the people that begin to follow you because you’re you’re gathering information over here you’re distilling it down and you’re passing it on to others and that’s just that’s just a great formula and it’s like you don’t want to mess with paid ads or social media tricks it’s just about creating great content that you create that goes out into the world for free and this is something called content marketing this is the basis of my my business and i’ll give you tips on how to do this right what you want to be doing is creating original valuable content okay you make up your own thing it doesn’t have to be like earth shattering like you did like you invented something new but it should be your spin your way to do it you wait the way you would put it out there to add value to other people you know there’s a lot of content out there that’s just crap you don’t want to waste anybody’s time so create something that helps increase the quality of other people’s lives could be youtube videos articles that you like could be podcasts and what matters is that you find a format or a combination of formats that suits you whatever you’re able to pull off and that suits your audience and that means like whatever type of content that your audience or your niche would like to consume so for like american fly tires they like videos but they also more importantly than that they like written content i remember when i put up blog posts a lot of people really you know especially through facebook for whatever reason that’s just the way it was for that niche when i put a blog post or when i put up a post on on facebook a lot of those fly fishermen they were always they were there and they reacted to it and it turned into business for me so you’re gonna find that no matter what niche you have it might be different a little different so like your niche uh the right the right way to do it maybe through video just just youtube or the right way to do it is like uh just through podcasts because they’re audio rather than visual whatever it is you’ll find it and then all you got to do is just look for content that people are looking for and what i mean is like forget like guessing or scamming seo words or anything like that think about what your target audience really wants and needs and then make that content for them you know think to yourself what are they actually typing into google what do they need what are they searching for and then go make that content for them and here’s the key you have to make it regular you make this content every single week and you put it out for free and what happens is it it becomes like a machine or an engine where you start to create this tribe of people who are totally dedicated you know the raving fan not customers yet but they’re raving fan people who who follow you you’re a leader you’re a thought leader that’s what you do you become a thought leader with something that you’re passionate about and that’s what works in the long run this is long-term business building online and it’s a beautiful thing so you actually also have to pick a content schedule that fits into your life if you don’t then it could it could own you and that’s what i did wrong in the first place like in the beginning like when i was really struggling like i never picked like a schedule that would actually fit into my life and what i mean by that is like if you it’s got to be something you could actually commit to it should be at least once a week like putting putting out content at least once a week and that’s it but you know like if you can’t put out content every day then don’t do every day do at least once per week and i know this sounds that this is not big of a deal or a big point but believe me trust me this is what allows some brands to scale huge rather than just like a flash in a pan that goes out in a few years now some other thoughts is that written content is good for what we call seo so google and other search engines crawl around on the internet looking for text so the more articles you write the better chance people will find you so let’s say hypothetically you put up a video not written stuff it’s a good idea to put some really awesome written elements beyond uh below that and that’s what a lot of people do and that being said though video is in fact taking over the world the way people taking content and consume content through video on their phone with laptop’s overwritten content it’s skyrocketing so if you could do video of any kind start there and be smart to do that but remember below that also put some kind of written content so that the search engines can find you better now after you create a piece of content you always have to leave a cta at the end cta now cta stands for call to action so every time you put out a piece of content like weekly always ask your your audience to do something below it that’s the call to action you know you could ask them to opt into your lead magnet or go to your website we’ll explain what uh lead magnet is in a minute or you know like engage themselves with the questions in the comments down below or engage in in the conversation down below never put like content out there and then just disappear always ask them to do something at the end i know this sounds subtle but this is really big and this creates like an expectation that you want to engage with the audience and you want them to do to do something and then they follow you further which creates a relationship which creates the tribe which eventually you can create turn to sales okay now what kind of software can you use to run something for free to start like when i first started what gear can you use when i first started i used wordpress now this is a great platform it’s a free open source platform that a lot of sophisticated websites are built upon and you can get this software installed anywhere where you have hosting i get my hosting at godaddy so i install this software at godaddy okay and then i also use a 99 theme called divi themes that makes the wordpress site easy like drag and drop rather than technical like if you’re more visually intuitive like i am instead of a technical person it makes things easier so wordpress is a great place to host your website in your blog or creating your daily content now for video i use youtube and this is where video lives the beautiful thing about youtube is i host all my videos there because it’s a platform in and of itself where people could find it’s a search engine and of itself and it’s owned by google by the way but you also embed that video on your wordpress blog okay so it exists on youtube and also on your website or your blog and then you do a written right up below it so people can really find it through google and other search engines and then the other thing you could use is good job now i’m going to talk an awful lot about kajabi kajabi is an all-in-one platform and just recently i began to port everything over to kajabi and that’s why i have two websites right now everything on my website is hosted there everything’s built there my course is there continue a relationship with your customers or your people you know let’s say they find your podcast or your written article or your youtube video okay hopefully it’s great content and they love it but you can’t just end there if you want to continue this relationship you have to add more value to their life so if they come add more on and what i let’s talk a little bit about here about websites before i go on because i promise i give you this okay most websites give too many options too much distraction you know there’s so much going on at the website so you don’t want to tell your visitors on your website follow me on facebook or on twitter the thing is they’ll find you on their own if they like you but don’t have that on your website believe it or not your your website should focus on one thing and one thing only and that’s to capture their email address and i’ll tell you why your goal is to capture their email address and that’s it add value with free content but once they go to your your website just capture their email address and that’s all you should focus on and here’s why if they go to your website without getting without you getting their email address they’re likely never coming back i mean there’s just too much out there in the world there’s too much distraction and so let’s say somebody comes across your website they’re probably not coming back so capture their email address that way you can email them and add more value to their life for free and you create this relationship where you build your tribe bigger and bigger through emails you send more and great more and greater stuff to them every day and then all after a while you offer your products and services through email there’s a lot you can do once you have their email address whatever you want to do do it on email you continue that relationship so let’s talk about some email truths here okay email truth number one selling on your email list is far more profitable than any social media or any other website okay the research in the numbers uh is just staggering that more online sales happen selling through email than any other way you know social media is trendy and fun but it doesn’t lead to profitability like email does and that’s just the truth about online business email truth number two so let’s say social media was as profitable it’s not but let’s say it was you don’t control your audience on on facebook or any social media okay they do twitter does instagram does facebook does they can and they will change the rules they change the algorithm they change the formula as to how your stuff shows up they control whether or not your content can even be seen by everyone i remember facebook years ago you know back then everybody saw my posts whoever followed you on facebook everyone saw it right but then facebook changed it and they said let’s reduce the amount of people i think was down to 13 or something and if you want everyone to see it you have to boost the post that’s called boosting the post i’m sure you’ve seen that now that was a game changer for me back then because now i kind of get get out to all my people and my website traffic literally dropped to half and that really hurt that’s a scary way to live to do business online where someone else is controlling who can see it and they make the rules it’s their sandbox they can do whatever they want and rightfully so but if you have an email list that’s your tribe that’s what you control you can do whatever you want they can i mean obviously people can unsubscribe if they want but people won’t be unsubscribing if you’re giving great value if they like you and if they’re part of your tribe and if you take care of them now email truth number three is websites and social media sites come and go i mean popularity of these things come and go what i mean and you know who who knows if like facebook will pop be popular in five years from now what if instagram becomes like uh nothing remember myspace okay myspace was gigantic and i don’t think anybody knows or millennials know what myspace is now or even heard of it so my point is anything when it comes to social media can change what doesn’t change is people’s email addresses so email is the very best way to connect with people and get your audience to get moving okay so let me give you some points as to how to opt in and get emails okay when you do this don’t just simply say join our join our newsletter that doesn’t work i mean i guess you could say that but not a lot of people are going to want to give out their email address for no reason i mean do you want more emails in your inbox just for no reason no right so you have to be more generous and that’s where the value circle begins to start you give out a benefit-driven lead magnet in exchange for their email so you create something that you give away for free that could really help us solve a problem in people’s lives in exchange for the email so first you show them that you have like massive value to offer through your your content your free content you give it away for free in exchange for their email address and here’s some good example of lead magnets okay here’s one from brenda buchard brennan.

com he gives away this here as you see brenda does a great job says live love matter then free access to brendan’s for breakthroughs so if you’re into motivation or productivity or breaking through of course you’re going to want to sign on to this and give them your email and you can always unsubscribe later and the reason why i know this works is because i’ve done this when i first went to brennan’s site and i gave him my email address and in time he uh he offered his total product blueprint program which helped me get my business online here’s another one by dean graciosi you can see here that he takes her email address and i mean this is the one that he’s doing with kate kbb with tony robbins but i’ve seen another one with another website he had he was giving away his book millionaire success habits in exchange for people’s email address that was his lead magnet so these are good examples for lead magnets you know if i was in the market for like making tons of money or want to be wanting to be a millionaire again or whatever it’s like yeah i’ll get my email away for that so let’s say you do workouts you could give away a 10 minute home routine 10 minutes that you could lose one pound per week so people don’t have a lot of time so 10 minutes per day is good it’s at home it’s measurable you burn one pound per week that sounds sustainable and these are some great examples of how to offer some some stuff that’s real real valuable and benefit driven so that people are happy to give you their email address in exchange for that information so here’s what i use for my lead magnets i use two platforms kajabi and aweber okay for each brand now both will work great for you if you want to capture email addresses and save them automatically and like in one click you can send an email out to your whole list and you know it’ll keep track of the whole thing so you don’t want to just like send out emails from just your normal email address you need a platform that can do that okay also i use google docs to create my lead magnets google docs and i can create a pdf of an ebook or anything i want to give away for free and i just write it up in google docs add links or whatever and i export that as a pdf which is a simple file that i can deliver to people in exchange for their email now that’s a free tool right there also if you want like little um uh ways for people to put their email in at the bottom you know you can use thrive leads you can do anything you want with wordpress and that’s all free now on kajabi they have their own opt-in boxes so you don’t have to like plug in and actually do the work to put it in it’s all set up for you now before we move on let me tell you something about gdpr this is a rule that you have to be compliant with and standby okay it came out in 2019 and in order to be compliant with gdpr if you have anyone who is going to give you your email address and then you these people need to be informed that they’re going to receive more emails from you in the future so it’s really simple just let them know i’m gonna if you get this this lead magnet in exchange for email address in the future you’re gonna get more content from me in the future they just have to know most people know that anyway um so passive income component point number three is your autoresponder so let’s say you got their email address now what do you do a lot of people are saying you know build an email list but what do you do with that email list it’s simple the best people to sell to by far are the people who just found you you know are most interested in you right now now if you just understand this this can change your whole online business the best people to sell to are the people who just found you they like you they like your content they like your offer so for you to capitalize on that now’s the time to do that for you to create an automated money machine is very simple you have a five to seven day email campaign so you write you a campaign so you write five to seven emails that go out each day ahead of time and it starts the first day after somebody joins your email list you pre-write these emails and you automatically get these emails delivered to their inbox and you can do that through these systems aweber or kajabi so what you want to do on these emails is teach them and give them like super valuable content give them something relative to what they already learned and relative to what they’re interested in and you make it so valuable for them that they’re so glad that they’re on your email list you know you thought your site was awesome they thought you were awesome they thought your lean magnet was awesome and now you’re giving me more stuff and over the past like over the last three days of this system you make like a shift you make a pivot is what i’m talking about and you just say hey look if you want to go deeper in this training you could try you could check out my product like and you know that’s what people do that’s what brenda bachara did to me a while back with his emails he said hey if you want to go deeper in this training go to total product blueprint program it was like two grand i didn’t want to spend it at first but i’m glad i did because you know i decided maybe maybe i should and it helped with my career and here i am now because i learned the right things from brendan i gathered and distilled it down now here’s what i use for autoresponders like i say i use kajabi and aweber this allows me to get my email sequence out and it just triggers when somebody emails my list i don’t have to do anything once it’s set up it does it on its own and if you want a free version of something like that you can use mailchimp now that’s what i use for american flag tires for years i was making money without paying for an autoresponder using mailchimp but the biggest change with mailchimp recently is they won’t allow you to make more than one automated email which is kind of a bummer you know you so if you want to do this five-day sequence and map it out they only allow you to do one automated uh otherwise you got to pay for it just like the the other ones but when you pay you’re paying for the amount of people on your list and that’s the thing so it’s relative like if you get a lot of customers coming in a lot of money coming in then it’s not too much of a problem um but you know if you want a free version mailchimp is a good one and like i said i was making a lot of money with mailchimp without paying at all now income component point number four is your digital product now this is the whole making your money what you sleep thing okay this is important digital products are like a whole different animal they cost little to create they could be sold to anyone anywhere at any time they could be sold in unlimited quantities and it’s not like you have to like create it once and that’s it and then it’s just on autopilot and that’s the beauty that’s with a passive uh income part of it that’s the making money while you sleep comes in here’s some good digital product samples you could sell online courses like i do you could sell ebooks you could sell digital prints which are graphics or stock photography you could sell smartphone apps okay or articles or whatever you want to make on your desktop computer or you could sell membership sites that’s a great idea the idea here is to take something that you know and that you love and you distill it down and teach it to your students into a product a digital product that’s what i do so just simply ask yourself what do i know what am i good at what am i passionate about what do i think i can teach other people um and what do i want to be involved with for the rest of my life something that i’m passionate about and talk about for the rest of my life so you want to know why not a lot of people don’t sell their products online because they don’t do the proper research the only way to virtually guarantee your product will sell is to do strategic research ahead of time to determine that people want to buy so i mean first you determine what people want and then you go and you build that for them now this is opposite of what most people do most people just build anything and then they have a hard time selling it and they wonder why well it’s because they didn’t do the research and the reason why is because nobody wants it but if you do the research ahead of time then you know what what to build for them and here’s how i do research and uh create or find gold if you will first i look for frustrations of people anytime you see like a certain language being used like frustrations or passionate frustrations these are problems just waiting to be solved by people like if somebody’s complaining about something that’s a problem waiting to be solved also you can look for wants and wishes meaning like someone’s saying i wish i could do this well i wish i was able to do this these are people asking for products so you could do this type of research on social media or through your friends or your website or your tribe or whoever and don’t interact with people lightly you know have deep conversations just go back and forth a few times and keep asking why and what they want ask two or three four five people ask what they want what they need and get deep down ask them why over and over and get to the core of what they really need and this will give you a much more true life way and you’ll get their deep desires this will also help you know what they need for a product and what they want so in review to create your automated money machine and turn passion to paychecks doing what you love you need four things number one remarkable content going out to the world for free number two is a valuable lead magnet number three is a strategic autoresponder email sequence remember and number four is a desirable digital product now please take note of this we don’t just want any old content we want true remarkable content and then not just like a free download but a valuable lead magnet something people really want and not just any old autoresponder you know it’s something that people can really like go through and it really like bleeds them through like a funnel that really works also we need a strategic autoresponder
