tell me how you got into motivational
speaking you’re from Detroit your
background and then how this came about
well you know I started doing um
speaking for a GED program that I ran
just trying to help motivate students
who had dropped out of school here for
me just to connect I mean you have
brilliant kids with brilliant minds who
don’t bring 100 to 20%
just because there’s no connection like
why do I go to school why is it
important to go to school and so I think
my job is the connection so I happened
to be in class once just going at it
with a group of students somebody taped
it put it up on YouTube and the rest is
history you could take my money out the
bank guys and I could get a couple more
engagements I can put that money back
once you take time for me I can never
get that back again I can never get
yesterday back I can’t get it a second
back in 2012 I can’t get it back so I
take time so serious because the only
commodity that once is spent
you can never regain it and so average
people don’t understand the importance
of time and so that’s what aggravates me
is that while you’re being average
you’re dragging into
I don’t want to live in it but the
reason why you don’t give 120% every
doggone time you get on the field cuz
you ain’t got a wife for what you do
order for you to get to that next level
you got to change your thinking like
real you don’t need no money
you don’t mean you don’t need no stuff
the one thing you need to do to go when
you’ve never gone before to have what
you never have before
is it change the way you think
motivate you I’m not trying to inspire
listen to bring it in
and value to your life
you should pull out your pouch

like you could be right
if we want to make a difference all you
got to do is one thing you get started
you won’t listen to me all you got to do
is make a decision that’s it
but only we make it a Roman stage and
all you got to do make the right
decision but if you wanna make a
difference make a decision are you read
what I’m telling you when the stadium is
empty can you will yourself to succeed I
want you to go look yourself in the
mirror I went to the file to be amazed I
want you to vow that no more excuses
like from this day forward I’m not just
gonna be listening to ET I’m at is gonna
be getting pumped up I’m not he’s gonna
be fired up when I finish this in the eg
I must start apply and Johnny goes home
this sophomore year the parents are hurt
but if Leroy goes home Rachid if I see
basil after the first semester it’s all
good romance is happy University
nobody’s hurt that he came oh then he
couldn’t read it somebody fell even
nobody else laying expectations are
to succeed as bad to one agrees will be
successful
you should wear sob shortness of breath

you don’t care about a party the only
thing you care about when you trying to
breathe yes we get some fresh air that’s
it and when you get to the point where
all you want to do is be successful as
bad as you want to breathe then you’ll
be successful
