so things what’s up what’s up build your brand whoa day three of our five day challenge today is the day well they’re all the day but i’m so happy you guys are here listen before i go any further i’m i’m just ecstatic i have to tell you my wife and i last night we watched as many of your videos as we possibly can we got 10 people watching all your homework what you guys did taking uncomfortable action you had my wife and i in tears laughing like just so in our hearts for so many of you taking i know i’ve been using the word a lot but uncomfortable action i could see so many of you were like hesitant to do a video some of you are really excited some of you were like the hell with it it wasn’t perfect but i did it anyway but doesn’t it feel good when you’re done donna wu i see you smiling so much right like doesn’t it feel good when you’re like i did it and i also know listen and and this i’m i’m talking to you right now i also know there’s some the silent minority out there who are thinking maybe this isn’t for me maybe this is for other people and i’m not doing so perfect and how does that feel right that feels crappy that’s why we’re here and i’m going to call you out take that action move forward don’t look with regret don’t have ego and envy i should say envy of other people getting ahead not that i don’t mean that in a bad way but sometimes you’re like oh they can do it they’re an extrovert i don’t understand technology let’s just blow the lid off that let’s make this challenge something different than you’ve ever been a part of and we just do it like i gotta share something with you you ready for this yes i freak out on my app here because i obsess on this we just got to okay in this software has not been out in the world this is going out now right with you guys just again if you want social proof we just passed 11 000 of you have uploaded or put a mastermind a course a training or schedule event eleven thousand and we yeah we should have a cheer for that right and here’s again i get these numbers we just passed 1 000 sales do you remember two days ago we were like 195 sales we just passed 1 000 of your courses have sold in the last 48 hours is that amazing or what like what i love is this it’s just regular people sharing what they know and other people going oh i need that i need that and it’s happening and i want to highlight a few people i’m going to of course uh we have a training today like be prepared russell brunson literally stayed up all night i’m not kidding most of the night he read hundreds and hundreds if not over a thousand of your comments and he felt like he really heard you all of you whether you’re on youtube or facebook or uh with us here on zoom we added in the youtube today just cause facebook was a little like this yesterday and we want to make sure we had a backup so wherever you’re watching hey thank you for being here but russell literally stayed up most of the night reading all your comments and he shifted everything he was going to train today because he heard some of you who said i want to do this i’m so excited but i’m just a little uncertain or i miss this one part like sometimes you forget where you’re starting we need to really explain this journey for you so be ready for something absolutely amazing if you’re already in this game already listed already made sales congratulations i want to share before i bring russell out one is living the hard way is easy and living the easy way is hard we all know that that’s not something i made up it’s something we all kind of live by already that was a gentleman named david keckage uh he was in a wheelchair paralyzed from the neck down i think if i remember right he got hit by a car while he was jogging and there’s the most positive amazing guy ever i probably met him a decade ago and he handed me this little business card and it unfolded it was keckage credos and one of his credos that i’ll always remember is living the hard way is easy and living the easy way is hard you know it’s easy hang out in this group do a couple homework assignments hopefully you win something and move on to something else and not take action not do the homework not push forward not take uncomfortable action that’s easy but it’s hard when you look back in five years and you’re still searching for more you’re still stuck in a grind that doesn’t fulfill your heart your soul your bank or whatever it is that you desire it doesn’t give you the time and money freedom you want that’s hard it’s a little harder right now to say i’m going to do this i’m going to follow what russell shares i’m going to do the homework i’m going to i’m going to go in and handle the technology and the software i’m going to i’m going to do these things now it’s a little hard but it’s easier when sales are coming in or impact is happening and you’re changing lives right i mean just take it into the simple world it’s really easy to sit on the couch watch lots of netflix netflix and eat lots of pizza pizza is amazing my favorite food in the whole world that’s easy but it’s hard when you’re older and you’re not healthy you’re overweight and you missed out on life it’s easy not to pay attention and listen to the person you’re with it’s easy to have a wandering eye it’s easy to drink when you’re not feeling the best because it just numbs you i’m not knocking on like i’ve made terrible and done real easy things and some things in my life what i’m saying though is i’m making a point it’s easy to do those things but it’s really hard if your relationship falls apart or or you’re alone when you’re older it’s harder now to to spend the time to communicate to take counseling to to learn from somebody like stacy yesterday to fix a relationship that’s hard today but it’s really easier when you’re older and you’re with your soul mate and you got someone to share with i’m not like we all have different circumstances but when we look through that if you feel something a little heavy as you go through this challenge if something feels like a little too technical it was a little over my head congratulations we get resourceful and we figure it out we watch this again we get engaged we take the uncomfortable action make live hard today so we can live easier tomorrow listen when i was a kid my friends i i used to have fun don’t you don’t dare think that i was the boring like i went out and had fun but i’d go out and have fun with my friends even if we stayed out til one two o’clock in the morning i’d still go to work at 5 30.

and i was always hustling and i have to tell you my friends would always be like oh man you work too much just have fun dude chill when i couldn’t go away with them sometimes they’d be like oh dude you’re always focusing on all this stuff and then when i was going after bigger things i was the dreamer i was crazy it was hard i lost some friends anybody lose some friends because you want more out of life and they don’t right i had to leave some friends behind and that sounds terrible because they just felt uncomfortable with my action they wanted me to dim my glow to match them i’m telling you right now never dim your glow for anybody else get so bright that you bring the world with you that’s how we change the world right but it was uncomfortable then and it was hard it was hard when i lost friends i lost the relationship in my early 20s because i said i was going after it too much and i was a dreamer but i look back at a lot of my friends who i love to death their life is really hard right now really hard because they didn’t put the hard work in prior and now they don’t know what to do with their lives right of course i’ll help i’ll help every single person i can my whole point is if you come across something hard over the next three days two days a hard decision a hard cape good living the hard way leads to an easier life can we all agree on that it’s not easy to get up in the morning go to the gym every day but it’s a great thing when you’re older and in shape so i want you to think that and i want you also the last thing i want to share is at the end of our lives imagine i think about this crazy stuff all the time maybe i’m the only one um it’s good to see all your faces uh but i always think of things like being at the end of my life if i get to meet my maker and i’m sitting with my maker could you imagine sitting with god or whoever you believe in i believe in god if i have the chance to sit with him he said tell me about your life well you know i life was good you know i i tried a couple things but you know it got a little hard i got a little uncomfortable i felt like an imposter a few times you know my husband really didn’t support me so you know i gave up on those silly dreams and i lived a good life i could picture god being like oh another one you lived a good life really i made you human i put you on this earth i gave you free will you had all the resourcefulness you could tap into and you just you lived it good okay love you next like wouldn’t you love to say god i squeezed every bit of juice out of life i could i was a nervous wreck but i went after i failed miserably but i got back up i dusted off i got new capabilities i took uncomfortable imperfect action and i got to live life like i think of that crazy stuff all the time when i need to push myself when i need to keep going forward i think about those type of silly things because there’s always an answer there’s always a solution if we keep moving forward the only way it stops is when we stop so in a moment here i keep saying this russell if you’re standing by three minutes brother and then it’s all yours i’m not kidding he’s already hit me up four times this morning and how excited he is because he knows what you need and that’s a good thing to learn live inside the mind of your clients and your prospects we obsessed on what you said and we’re giving you what you need today right but i want to bring up three quick people that i think we should highlight because i think it’s amazing can we bring up that um that slide okay jen peach jen joined the marketplace on july 30th she launched a virtual four uh fundamentals for full recovery for 497.

have to do a little bit of hard work now so we can have 9 or 11 or 1 our first sale how amazing is that i think we should give it up for him one more time and remember remember remember that if you feel a little hesitant you feel a little like uh good isn’t it great to feel freaking alive again isn’t it great to have hope in something isn’t it great to be a part of an industry that’s exponentially growing when so many aren’t and without further ado could we please give like for the guy staying up all night for you could we please give a huge round of applause and appreciation to our dear friend partner and brother mr russell brunson everybody i’m excited to be here today and like dean said i was working on my presentation all day yesterday and then about 11 30 at night i sat down i started reading through all your guys’s comments and uh by about midnight i was like i need to shift what i’m doing um some some people get so much value but there’s like pieces that people are missing here and there some things and and so i spent the next two hours until two o’clock uh did a whole new presentation which you’re about to see today you guys excited for it and then um and then this morning i woke up and actually uh i was getting ready eating breakfast and stuff and our house manager came in and she’s actually going through this course uh with you guys as well which is really cool and she started asking questions started saying things and i was listening to her and i was like okay i’ve figured out some some things i want to make sure that we cover i jump back my slides i’ve been making changes up to like five minutes ago but hopefully this will be the piece for any of you guys who may be like you see the the vision you’re excited you’re not really sure what to do or how to do it or just you’re missing a part of it right and so this is going to give you guys an overall blueprint and a plan to be like oh this is just to show you guys how simple and how exciting it really is and then towards the end i’m going to get i’m going to geek out on story i know we talked about that a little yesterday i’m going to geek out on story how to tell your story how to do in a way that gets people to move that gets them to follow you gets them to want to buy from you and so that’s kind of the game plan my wife sent me a message like two minutes before i started and said russell don’t forget talk slow so i’m gonna try to talk slow um but the thing is i get so excited i start going and so i’m gonna try to remember that but um i wanna encourage all of you guys to listen faster uh because i wanna make sure we cover everything otherwise this could be like a six hour uh session but i got a lot of stuff i want to give to you guys so is that cool you guys are all good with that all gonna listen faster okay um okay to start off with i want to tell you guys because i know a lot of you guys when you heard us talk about the builder your brand challenge all you guys are coming from different places right in your own personal life somebody has you have a business you’re like cool how do i build my own personal brand i understand that some of you guys don’t have a business yet and you’re trying to figure out what are they talking about like how does this actually work for me right so i started last night thinking back in my past like when did i first hear about this whole thing like when was it that i kind of discovered it i remember it was right when i first started college and i was trying to figure out how to make some money because i was a wrestler at boise state and i was a full-time student athlete i just met my beautiful wife colette so i had zero time for a job so i’m like i gotta figure out some way to to make some money and so my first big idea was like ebay right so i remember driving to the thrift store walking around looking at all the shelves and like everything that i thought someone might be on ebay i was buying right so i remember buying like a michael jackson record because i figured that must be worth like thousands of dollars right it’s about a michael jackson record i bought these shoes i like all the things i thought people would buy they went back home remember getting a camera this again this is 20 years ago so it was different we didn’t have phones with cameras i had to go find a digital camera and take pictures of each thing and post the listing and i remember i think i bought the michael jackson record for like three or four dollars from the thrift store and ended up selling for two dollars and fifty cents so i lost money but i sold this i had to go figure out then how to how do you get a box that you can like put a record in i remember like trying to get a box that would fit they wouldn’t break the record they had to go to the post office and get stamps and postage and i had all these random things i had sold right and i’m putting in like this wheelbarrow hauling into the post office with all these weird boxes of like i was like cutting and taping together so they fit the weird stuff i bought i’m shipping it out and i remember just like this was a nightmare i lost money i didn’t make money on any of the things i sold and now i’m at the air at the at the post office shipping these weird things i remember being so frustrated and then as i’m sitting in line literally with the wheelbarrow and walking up to go drop off my stuff this guy walks in and he’s holding this big huge box and inside the box there are like probably at least 100 maybe 200 of these little envelopes all the exact same size they were just big enough to hold the cd and he walks into the big thing puts it down on the thing sets it down and walks away and i was like wait wait i’m like what is that okay and he’s like oh i sell stuff on ebay i was like what do you sell on ebay he’s like information i was like what are you talking about this information information from the microphones are coming through anyway i said i sell information i was like what do you mean he’s like i i have a course i created and i burn it on a cd and then someone orders it i burn the cd i put it in the envelope and i take it to the post office and mail it out and uh and i was doing the math i was like that’s like a hundred and you know 150 cds he’s like yeah how much do you sell him for he’s like usually you know 20 or 30 dollars a piece and i was just like my mind was blown i was like people pay you for information he’s like yeah and he kind of walks out they walks out of the post office and that was my first aha i was like information like that’s amazing you don’t have to put it in a box you don’t have to find a different thing i’m not buying it for one price and selling for like information is free right it’s digital it’s like especially nowadays we don’t ship cds anymore right someone buys it they log online and they can watch the and i remember i was just like this is the greatest thing in the world um i got to figure this out and so for me the last man 18 19 years now um have been doing this right selling information products and um and so that’s what dean and tony i are talking about this is the world we want to introduce you guys dean keeps talking about this huge industry that’s growing this is the industry the industry of selling information okay and so my very first slide here uh says the greatest business in the world is selling information okay um and i have i did this picture because uh my shirt says secrets for sale um literally as we’re talking about each of you guys have learned secrets in your life right and you’re able to sell them so i could have like potato gun secrets i could have um like my kids the other day um started they were watching tick tock and on tick tock there was this guy teaching them how to make these these drinks out of kool-aid and all these things and my kids were making these drinks that made a huge mess but the end of it i was joking with them like you could make a product called kool-aid secrets and to show how you made all these different types of kool-aid and that could be a course right um all if you look at anything i sell i usually attach secrets to everything so my books are dot com secrets expert seekers traffic secrets unlock the secrets i have products uh 10x secrets like high ticket secrets like everything i do is just secrets so that’s how i always sell my information like what’s the secrets that i’ve learned that i can sell somebody right so if you start thinking like what are the secrets that you’ve learned in this life that you could sell to somebody right and that’s that’s the magic you guys these things that you’ve learned the things you figured out you can sell and it’s information the best thing about information is somebody buys it and you don’t have to ship it to them you don’t have to like there’s no fulfillment costs like you get to keep all the money like that’s what’s so powerful about information so i like it more than physical products i like it more than any other it’s literally the greatest business in the world okay and so that’s the industry we want to talk to you guys about and so the very first thing that i ever sold i mentioned this two days ago but the first thing that i ever sold was this dvd teaching people how to make potato guns that was my first secrets right and it wasn’t something like i had spent 30 years of my life mastering how to make potato guns i literally spent a weekend we made a potato gun i was like hey there are people who might want to know how to do the secrets of how to make potato guns i now know how to do it i spent a weekend doing it let me make a video and so this i showed you guys this before this is a video of me and my buddy nate building a potato gun and it became my very first ever information product this was this was the ground floor beginning thing for me okay and i started selling this dvd for 27 dollars and i started selling online this was the very first time i sold information i still remember the first time somebody went and bought it and they put in their credit card and then it came the order came through and i was like i remember laughing i was like i called nate i was like dude somebody just paid us for the video we made about how to make a potato gun and he’s like i don’t get it what they pay us for i’m like they paid us for the video he’s like why would they pay for the video like like it’s free online you can just look up this like that’s all we did we looked up the plans online i’m like yeah but but we but like we made our own product and they that someone wanted to buy and they gave us money and i was like freaking out it was the weirdest thing in the world how many guys have experienced that before you sold information and you’re like i can’t believe that somebody paid me for this thing that i just created how many have felt that before it’s like the craziest feeling in the world i remember like that got me addicted okay and i got hooked into it and so since then i’ve been selling tons of information now i want to share with you guys a story this is one of my favorite stories um about information like selling information products because i think sometimes this is so foreign to us we’re always like again you know i’m not tony robbins i can’t do a you know huge event i’m not stacy martino i can’t say people’s marriages i’m not russell brunson i can’t build a funnel right like everyone’s like you always look at everybody else and discounts why we can’t do it and so i want to share with you this one of my friends his name is jacob hiller and jacob is awesome uh when jacob was born he told me like he wasn’t very good at jumping and he couldn’t dunk and all his buddies could dunk right and he got really frustrated he’s like i want to be able to dunk a basketball and so he started figuring out like what are exercises i can do to increase my vertical so i can dunk right and so he started like reading things and researching and he’d try different exercises and eventually he’s like i’m going to start a youtube channel teaching or just showing the things i’m trying so he built this youtube channel he showed things he was like different exercises he was doing and he got better and better to the point where soon he could dunk and then he could dunk really well and then in this picture here you can see he literally jump and touch his head on the basketball hoop right and uh he’s posted these youtube videos and eventually he had like 10 000 followers on his channel who were um following him watching these videos like hit that him jumping and uh somebody came to him was like hey you should sell information about how to jump and he’s like i don’t get it why would somebody pay me for that like i have these youtube videos for free and they’re like i don’t know but like people want to like they’re all subscribing and watching every video if you sold them something they’d be so excited and he’d never done it before he didn’t know how to do it so he sat down and started writing an ebook about how to jump higher okay he wrote an ebook he then started recording a couple videos and he created his very first product which is called the jump manual okay and the jump manual is literally of course teaching people how to jump so how do you guys know how to jump okay a massive i’m sure like five minutes ago like nobody’s ever gonna pay you pay money to teach you how to jump okay this has become a huge business for me i’ve known him for over a decade and for over a decade he’s been selling this course okay and what’s crazy about it is that part of the reason why we love this information lifestyle is that you’re not tied like i have to have a nine-to-five job and working you create the thing you put it online you start selling it and so jacob started selling this and then him and his family they decided like we don’t have to live here what if we just start traveling the world and so um in the last 10 years they have lived in 71 different countries every like three or four months they literally get the global they spin it and they’re like where should we go boom and they’re like oh we’re going to africa and they pack up and they fly to africa they live there for three or four months they spin the globe uh where are we going we’re going to china and that’s how they live for 71 countries in the last 10 years and uh during this journey him his wife they had um a son a writer who’s been to 50 countries he’s only 10 years old okay so that’s why dean and i are so excited tony’s so excited because like we understand this it breaks it makes you free especially in this new crazy environment when with coronavirus and these things and like offices are shut down and how we’re going to do things like you can create something that that makes you free which is so cool okay and literally like you watch jacob if you watch his youtube channel or facebook or instagram they travel the world and they just make videos of him jumping and it’s the coolest thing in the world okay and it fuels their entire lifestyle it’s amazing okay um stacy martino okay you had a chance to meet stacy paul yesterday right they took their amazing information uh to help couples and they turn into courses now that have not only changed the lives of insane amounts of people online it’s changed their life as well right they had a chance to move to boise idaho the greatest place in the world because they weren’t tied to any geographic location i’m still trying to sell everybody on boise i’m hoping to get dean and tony to move here eventually but it hasn’t happened so you guys understand like this is what we’re talking about this is the industry that we’re so excited and why we’re so excited by it okay now one thing i want to share because this is when like this was the light bulb moment for me okay this is one of the very first people that i learned from online his name’s matt fury and i remember i was in one of his little courses i was listening to him and he talked about this book he created called combat conditioning and he said this analogy that just it was so simple but like for me the light bulb went off hopefully this is the light bulb moment for you if you’re still waiting for one uh he said he said traditionally he’s like think about like any teacher right a teacher gets a job they work at a at a high school or a middle school or a college whatever right and they get paid and maybe they get paid you know fifty thousand dollars a year or sixty or eighty thousand dollars a year whatever that is he’s like but that teacher has to come to class every single day with the lesson plan and for eight hours teach teach teach teach they go home next day to come back and teach and the second they stop teaching what happens they stop getting paid right so for someone to make a million dollars as a teacher you can do that but it’s going to take you 40 years of your life right to go out there and teach and teach and teach and if you ever stop the income stops and matt says something amazing about this book right here he said this book was an idea i had i wanted to teach people how to go and actually do combat conditioning he’s like so i took the weekend i went in there and for the entire weekend i worked hard i was like eight hours a day for two days and i took the pictures and i wrote the paragraphs i put it together i put into a book he’s like when all said and done it took me a lot of work but when it was finished i had this book right i taught it once it’s finished it’s like now i put it online and i don’t know where he’s at now but this is uh man 15 16 years ago he said at the time you sell like 20 of these books a day and he’s like and i think each book sold for 50 bucks if i remember right he’s like he’s like if i stopped working for the next decade this book would keep paying me okay i don’t keep coming and teaching class over and over and over again i taught it for two days it got recorded i put it online and the thing you start selling over and over and over and over and over again okay that’s something i found a lot of products i created a decade ago still make sales to this day okay so that’s the power it’s like you can go and and take your knowledge and become a teacher and that’s amazing we need amazing teachers you’re teaching the same thing over and over and over again but man like that’s a lot of work a lot of time a lot of energy and there’s no leverage on your time whereas this we’re talking about you create something once you post in the marketplace and they can sell for the rest of your life okay that’s we’re talking about that make sense you guys getting more excited about this whole industry we keep talking about now okay the next question i’m getting a lot i saw a lot people are so confused like what is a mastermind so this concept of mastermind it came from the book think and grow rich by napoleon hill how many guys have read think and grow rich okay one of the most amazing books ever and um in this he talked about this concept of a mastermind he said he said um anytime you get two like-minded people and you put them in a room okay it’s not one plus one equals two two brains then you put them in a room and they start talking the creativity happens it creates a third extra mind that we call a mastermind okay that’s the power you guys notice that in your life right when you get two or three people in the room again you start talking and brainstorming all of a sudden like these ideas start coming out you feed off shows energy and it’s way more than just your effort and someone else’s effort right it’s this third mind it’s this mastermind okay and so that’s what when napoleon hill talked about is like this concept of a mastermind he said that because that everyone needs their own mastermind right and so for years what we all did is we had mastermind in fact here’s a picture of this is my mastermind group it’s called my inner circle and uh in fact this is the room we’re in right now this one looks like from behind um uh twice a year everyone would fly to boise idaho and we’re in this little mastermind group and we share we give ideas and it’s amazing it’s amazing process that’s what a traditional mastermind is okay i’ve been running my mastermind now for almost a decade and i love it okay now what we understand is that we dean yesterday talked about pivoting right so a little while ago everything stopped right the world stopped spinning everything just kind of stopped and people weren’t able to travel with these things and so that’s when we started brainstorming together like man where tcp will masterminds people are doing it but how do we pivot what’s the change we said okay well people still need to do masterminds and hopefully in the future people come back to do masterminds like this again but until then we need to transition online how do we make how do we mastermind courses and so that’s what this whole concept this one mastermind.

com is is a marketplace for mastermind courses okay so if anyone’s running what is this that’s what this is okay where you can take your knowledge people can come together and from that they can it’s like adding a third mind and a third mastermind so that’s their mastermind courses and uh again mastermind.

com is the marketplace and you can list your course with your training in your information product there inside the course okay all right so that’s kind of an overview of the industry and why we’re so excited what a mastermind is what this new software always like that’s kind of what it is okay now i want to step back and i want to go through the step-by-step process for you guys get started does that sound good so if any of you guys like i understand pieces of it but i’m missing a step i’m going to give you all the steps in chronological order so you’re not stressing out does that sound good all right step number one this is what dean talked about on day number one step number one is you have to find your dream customer okay everyone always thinks like oh i sell a product i sell to the entire world you know right like stacy could have easily said like oh every every single human on earth needs to be my product because uh because we help relationships so everyone’s in a relationship okay the problem is we try to target everybody in the entire world it’s expensive it’s hard and it’s also scary okay so dean talked about this i’m not gonna go back into we talked about like breaking down like the the world of seven billion people right and what’s the market inside of that and the market inside of that in the market inside of that until you find your dream customers and where they are okay dean train that was amazing so if you want to go back to that if you’re still unsure who am i selling my thing to go back and watch dean’s training about that because that’s the first step is really figuring out who is your dream customer making as small as humanly possible okay when i launched our software company click funnels i didn’t say this is for all businesses in the world right no it’s like okay like with all businesses in the world okay but we’re not gonna focus on all businesses we’re gonna focus on small businesses we’re folks on small businesses we’re selling things on the internet we focus on small businesses who are selling things on the internet where the entrepreneur is still in charge of the company is still running it okay and that it got smaller smaller smaller until we said okay that’s exactly what we’re gonna target and now all of our messaging our products our services could target that person because we knew exactly who they were okay so again if you want to go deeper that go back to dean’s training from day number one but that’s the first step is figure out who’s your dream customer okay step number two then after you figure okay here’s my customer here’s the human being that i want to serve then it’s coming back and say okay what is the framework that you’re going to give them what’s the framework that gets them from a to z okay we talked about this i showed this the other day but here is here’s you here’s the result this is result okay so the this thing that you know the secrets you have right you had to learn secrets like what were the secrets to you from where you are today to the result that you that you achieved right and as you went on this path you created some kind of framework right which is like okay step one i do this step two step three step four step five so you have the step-by-step framework or a map or a system whatever you wanna call it okay stacy have an amazing amazing idea for you guys yesterday is like when you figure out this is my framework to name it right now you guys learned saw yesterday stating her left-hand right-hand framework that’s a framework that she did to help get a result right to help help people in their relationships with uh if they’re in personal development and they got family members that aren’t like this is the tool to help help that so you don’t go and smash everybody right and so this is the framework i know as i was talking about frameworks i think a lot of you guys are like i have no idea russell’s talking about how many guys where it’s like i don’t know what russell he’s saying this word framework what is he talking about so i want to make you guys understand like in my mind what a framework is okay a framework is literally like your table of contents okay if you open up any book okay so here’s my books open up your book open at the very beginning and the very first thing here in every book is what the table of contents that is my framework for the book okay my first step when i wrote my book the very first step i did is okay what am i going to teach and listen step number one second and it turned into the table of contents this is the table of contents of the of what i teach inside traffic secrets okay same thing for all my books think about any book you’ve ever bought any book you’ve ever read there’s always a table of contents the table of contents is the framework okay like i don’t know what my framework is pretend like you’re writing a book okay when i made my um when i was doing my how to make a potato gun dvd um the very first thing i did is we sat down and said okay what’s our framework okay i said okay if i’m gonna teach somebody how make potato gun right the result is they want a potato gun if i’m gonna teach them how to make potatoes what’s the step-by-step process okay i said okay well step number one if you look at the little slides here step number one it’s a little hard for me to read seven one says how to decide what type of gun you want to create okay there’s different types of guns that’s the first step what kind of gun do you actually want okay step number two uh how to pick the right pipes okay all you non-potato gun non-experts yeah just you know there’s different types of pipes and based on the psi rating some pipes will explode in your hand which is really bad some pipes give a little flex and so they’re not gonna blow up in your hands so that make sure you get the right kind of pipes okay so step number one what kind of gun do you want step number two you make sure you get the right pipe step number three then is how to find um your other accessories before you start building right except number four is how to cut the right barrel the chamber volume ratio step number five and so i list out here are the steps to be able to build a potato gun okay steps the framework the system whatever it is okay now if i was writing a book i would say okay chapter one is this chapter two is this chapter three is this okay if i was making a course i would say module one i’m gonna teach this module two i’m gonna teach this module three i’m gonna teach this if i was doing a live event i’d say session number one is this session number two is this session number three is this does that make sense so all i’m doing is i’m creating a table of contents for the content that i actually wanna teach it’s that simple that’s what a framework is okay what is the table of contents for the thing you want to teach so if you sat down with stacy paul if you went to their events you would have you would see all the time where stacy comes up she’s like all right this session i’m gonna teach my five-step framework for my five-step system for this and then she’s got step one step two step three and she stands up and she teaches step one two three and she has that for an entire chapter does that make sense you guys okay so if you’re ever confused like i don’t know how to make my own course go open up a book in fact i had a mentor initially told me that if you don’t know how to to make your course or you’re not sure what to say or you’re kind of nervous he said if you look at the dummies books right there’s been a dummies book like a dummy’s guide to whatever for almost every business you can dream of or every every topic you can dream of the dummy’s guide to bartending the dummy’s guide to making they have not made potato gum one yet i could write that one for him the dummy’s guide to um to how to use microsoft excel the dummies guide to whatever right go look at the dummies guide on amazon you can usually see the first few pages go to the table of contents look through it and give you ideas for like oh i could teach that i could teach that i could teach that okay but that second step then is figuring out what your table of contents is okay your table of contents like i said is your framework all right let’s pull slides back up so step number two is is figuring a table of contents okay do you think all of you guys could do that sit down and say okay let’s pretend i’m writing a book what would chapter one be chapter two chapter three okay if you can do that okay chapter one’s the first thing i’ll teach second thing third thing fourth thing that’ll end by the time they’re done they’ll get this result okay that’s all we’re talking about okay so that’s my framework um all right and then the next step then is after you have a framework then you go and you actually record the framework that’s step number three right i have the framework now i’m gonna go and actually record it so for my potato gun dvd um again this is man 18 19 years ago before i had a computer beforehand anything fancy i just borrowed a video camera from someone i knew i went into um as you can see here we went into a uh um to a college classroom with the white board we listed out our framework and then nate and i sat there and said okay hey everybody welcome to potato gun secrets all right chapter number one i’m gonna show you guys how to decide what kind of gun to buy and then we just talked about it and then okay next uh next session we just we just talked about like an hour and that was the entire course okay it was a one-hour dvd teaching people um our step-by-step system to just go like talking them through the table of contents does that make sense okay that’s how it worked now some of you guys are saying that’s cool russell but what if i don’t know what to say like i’ve never taught before i’m scared to death of training like oh what if i freak out on camera what if right have you ever felt that before okay so that was the training i gave the first day so if you don’t know what to actually say that’s what this framework for how to teach frameworks is okay so go back to step number one okay how to decide what ty what type of gun you want to create okay and i’m gonna go through these four steps number one i’m gonna tell them the story about how i learned or i earned it when i first started making my very first potato and i didn’t know what kind of to make and they’re all there’s spud guns and uh panetta guns and other or i can set whatever and there’s put there’s a pumpkin guns and there’s all these other ones i know which one’s gonna make and i was so scared and blah blah blah i tell the story about how i decided to make that one right and i said okay now i’m gonna show you guys the strategy here for this chapter so the strategy gotta figure out what’s the one that’s gonna be the best for you like you’re looking for long-term short whatever not just the track the the tactics and social proof right then i go now to chapter number two okay how do i pick the right pipes okay let me tell you the story about how to pick the right pipes the reason the reason why i figured this out is because one time making a potato gun we got the we got the other pipes we glued them together and they were the wrong thing is we jam the potato and the pipes actually split in half and like we were freaking out because that could have exploded in our hands and so because of that we figured out the right kind of pipes right i told that story about how i learned i earned it then i go into the strategy okay this is what you need to have then i teach the tactics and i show examples right then i go to number three and that’s all i’m doing okay that is my framework for how i teach frameworks i i use that on each step inside the table of contents okay if you ever have a chance to read my books and hopefully you will someday um each book is that way i have a chapter okay if you read the chapters you will notice that every single chapter and everyone in my book starts with what a story about how i learned or i earned that concept then i go and i talk about the overarching strategy then i go into the tactics of the chapter and then i end with a case study of how it actually worked then i moved to chapter two and i guess what i do i tell you the story i learned i earned it right and that’s all my books that’s how i teach them every single book is the exact same way i follow that framework and how to teach frameworks now let’s say you don’t want to write a book i want to do course i would take the same thing and instead of me writing these things i would send them say hey traffic secret session number one let me tell you guys this and i would go through and i would follow that process over and over and over and over again you guys getting this you just get what i’m laying down who’s having aha moments who’s like i finally get it okay yes if you’re doing that raise your hands i want to i want to see when i feel the energy of it see everybody right now all right good cool okay so hopefully you’ve seen how these things tied together right these tools we’re giving you this is why we’re giving them to you okay so again if you want to go deeper into that watch my session from day number one i know i spoke like a mile a minute and i got my hour-long session done in like 15 minutes but that’s what i was teaching is about how to teach the framework and how to actually teach your frameworks okay okay the next question i saw tons last night is russell russell this is cool but how do we actually record our courses i don’t even know how to like how do you how do you do the thing so now that’s from my head into like the the software right have you guys like like a little i’m sure about how to do that part of it okay that’s okay so i’m gonna show you guys a couple ways to do number one simple one is do what me and nate did just grab a video camera okay nowadays our iphones are like better than hollywood like maybe not better than hollywood cameras but it’s insane okay um in fact one of our friends uh rachel peterson she um she created a course called selfie secrets and she recorded the entire thing on her iphone and it was an insanely good course it was like eight different modules like and it was 100 done on her iphone your iphones will work insanely well okay your iphones be any quality camera that i had 20 years ago okay and so a video camera your phone literally is good enough okay sit down your phone click record and like hey my name is russell brunson here’s the topic i’m gonna teach let me tell you how i learned i earned it here’s the strategy here’s the tactics here’s the case study save it boom module one’s done uploaded the course module two record boom does that make sense it literally is that easy it’s like oh but russell what the quality is not good enough what if what if what if i want to tell you guys a secret okay one of the very first information products i ever bought was from this guy named brooks cubic okay and brooks is a dude who teaches like men how to lift weights uh his course is called dinosaur strength training and uh it’s like it’s it’s awesome right i remember i was in college and um i used to read his articles online i was so excited he had this dvd it was like the dinosaur strength trading dvd but it was like 50 bucks which i was like i don’t have 50 bucks for dvd so i took all this time i saved up money to be able to buy this dvd from brooks i was so excited i finally uh got the 50 bucks i sent brook some money the dvd came in and i’ve been telling my friends about this for like six months how excited i was for this course and someone showed up they all came to my house they want to watch it with me see why i was so excited and so um i put the dvd in i clicked play and the screen is completely black we’re watching and watching also uh we hear this voice uh honey i can’t see you honey i can’t see you he’s like you gotta take the lens scope off on and also you see him take the lens cap off the camera and walk back down to the bed sit on the bench and start benching and my friends start dying laughing like you spend fifty dollars something and they’re laughing and rolling on the floor and just making fun of me and i was like yeah you know like oh like i’m embarrassed about it and then finally like that night they left and when they left like got dvd put it back and i watched it and i was like this is amazing i’m in brook’s house learning from him directly like this is the coolest thing in the world and i loved it okay you have to understand people are not looking today for this hollywood production they’re looking for you the real you okay i don’t want to see a professional i mean you yeah you can do a course with lights and cameras and all sorts of stuff but i would rather watch the video of the person who’s actually doing it in their home doing it does that make sense so don’t like we’re in a youtube age that’s what people are used to okay you over produce sometimes they think the quality is not as good so don’t stress about that you can do it with your phone okay that’s number one some kind of video camera number two this is one of my favorite tools uh it’s called screen capture software okay now there’s two different screen captures there’s a lot but these are the two biggest ones one one’s called camtasia okay if you’re using a pc use camtasia that’s the green right there you type camtasia you can find it it’s a couple hundred bucks really good software if you are using mac use screenflow that’s one of our insights so camtasia if you’re a pc screenflow if you’re a mac user now what these tools do is it records whatever’s on your computer screen okay so if you want to create a course what i do all the time okay you can tell i’m a slay dean doesn’t use slides i’m obsessed with slides okay as you can tell like this right now last night i spent two hours i busted out these slides if i was going to turn this into a course i would sit down and open up screenflow because i’m a mac guy i click record and just records my screen i have my microphone there and i just talk just like i’m doing right now i would just talk through the slides and i would just teach it boom boom i teach mod you’re going through all the things how it’s done and then when it’s done it pops out a video file says here’s your video file boom now you have a video file upload to mastermind and now course is live okay so anything is happening on your screen so anytime you you create something with powerpoints okay or you can turn a camera on on your computer and just talk directly to the camera as well but i love this for for powerpoints if you’re doing any kind of product teaching people how to use computers right maybe you’re really good at microsoft excel or you’re good at powerpoint you make a video just teaching how you do the thing right in fact i think there’s like three or four people inside the mastermind platform who created courses teaching people how to use the mastermind platform and all those courses have a ton of sales and all these guys did was they recorded their screen on camtasia showing how to use masterminds platform uploaded the course and they’re making tons of sales right now teaching people how to use the platform okay they knew the secrets they have mastermind secrets right they’re the first ones to figure it out they really go in there and do it okay so you can go take your knowledge put in powerpoints if you’re more comfortable open screenflow or camtasia click record and just talk through the slides boom amazing course that fast okay that’s second way to record okay number three um if you guys how many guys have ever used zoom before zoom is great especially if you’re interviewing somebody right let’s say um maybe you don’t know the t maybe you’re not the expert the topic but maybe stacy is right it’s like hey stacy can you do a session with my people teaching entrepreneurs how to have better relationships should make sure i jump on zoom with me and her i click the record button it records the entire thing was done it pops out of video files like here you go so if you’ve ever used zoom before there’s that button right there says record that thing creates courses click the button talk click it when you’re done gives you the the thing upload it you got a course okay zoom’s amazing for it zoom’s nice as well because you can do it in big groups right if you have uh 500 1 000 people 5 000 you can run it through zoom okay now if you’re doing smaller groups we’ve given you guys an insanely cool tool okay part of the mastermind platform allows you to do small groups okay uh i think it’s if you’re under you can do groups of up to 25 people so you can bring 25 people in if you’re doing small groups here and it records the entire thing okay so you can literally say i’m going to master my next wednesday set it up beside the software invite your friends over jump on click record and teach your content teach you whatever you want to teach okay you can also do screen sharing so you can show your powerpoint slides and teach through everyone on teach the second is done boom pops out and it’s already in the software done okay that’s the power of this this is how we record our courses all my course is recorded in one of these four ways every single one either i use my phone or a camera right i use screen capture software i use zoom or i use the mastermind software now because it’s uh it’s amazing too okay so that’s how you record your course does that help that clear up that piece of it you guys like sweden how to make a course now okay all right now let’s move on to step number four now your course is done now you just gotta upload to mastermind that’s these homework assignments have been every single day it’s just simple i take this video file you made and upload it to the software okay i’m not gonna go deep into that because um all the homework assignments begin walking you through that process that’s the next step you record the videos upload them to the course and then they’re there and they’re live okay now some of you guys um i know one of the the the the questions the frustrations last night is people like i don’t have a course yet i don’t know how to do a course i’m scared like all this fear so how many is one secret okay i’ve got secrets for sale how many guys want a secret okay i should have wore that t-shirt today actually okay so here’s the secret okay um the secret is before you sell it do your first mastermind course for free okay that’s why i got started so dean got started if you have a chance to invest in kbb ever that’s dean and tony’s course it’s like two thousand dollars it teaches itself that’s one of the big takeaways it’s like the very first one you do you’re gonna be scared you’re gonna be nervous don’t sell excellent you’re like i have all the fear of like what if i fail what if i drop off i do it for free you literally log into the mastermind platform say okay i’m going to teach my system on how to make a potato gun right and i’m going to teach module number one teach module number one right this is going to happen next uh tuesday at two o’clock right and then module two i’m gonna do next thursday at four and then and you go set up all the modules right and you set up video for the live thing you schedule it okay and you have the schedule say hey here’s all these different live courses are gonna be happening and then go to some of your friends like hey you wanna make potato gum i’m like yeah that’d be awesome cool i’ve got this course i’m gonna sell in the future you can come for free because i need some people to like be there live when i do teaching the first time okay when people are alive your energy is gonna be different than just recording at your house nervously right so you invite them to come in right they come they log into the mastermind software that pops up you just teach your friends how to do the thing you teach module number one boom right you tell them how you learned you earned it you tell them the strategy teach them the tactics show them a case study and it’s done boom as soon as it’s done the video renders it’s in the members area then you go okay thursday we’re doing module two everyone come back module two is gonna be awesome they jump in teach module two the second is done pops out and it’s in the software the module three and by time you’ve gone through two or three weeks of training guess what your entire course is done it’s in the members area it’s finished and now you just go back in the software you say instead of making this free you start charging 197 dollars for it and now you’ve got a course you’re selling that’s how simple it is okay so don’t overthink this don’t stress out about like it can really be that that simple okay um one of the things i don’t think people understand is that um like i don’t go and create a course first and sell it typically i sell the course and then i go through and i create afterwards and the reason why is i want to find out like what do people actually want okay if i was teaching this potato gun course today uh for everyone who signed up the first thing i’d say is okay i’m gonna be teaching number one my first module which is talking about the different types of guns what questions do you have it’s amazing people like well here’s my question here’s my question they give you all these different questions you always feedback you’re like sweet now i know what to answer on my training they told me exactly what they want to know guys i look at it and then i just go record that i give it to them okay we used to talk about the secret to this industry the information business and it was three steps so number one step number one we have to find a hot market right so dean talked about like who is the hot market question number two is you ask them what they want hey what do you want to learn about they tell you sweet and then number three is you give it to them that’s it okay guess how i created this training for today okay i found a hot market people who are interested in launching a course okay last night i saw you guys asking tons of questions so i listened okay what are they struggling with what are they frustrated what like what questions they have what can i help how can i clearly see that i listened i asked you exactly what you wanted you told us right and then today what am i doing i’m just giving it to you i didn’t make this stuff up you guys told me what you wanted so i just told you it was so much easier okay so this is the big secret okay doing your first mastermind course free bringing in people bringing friends bringing family members whatever it is you can pop slides back up again um do the first one for free and then it gives you the ability then as you do each module ask the questions get all the feedback find out exactly people want and then go and record the session then record the second session do the third session and by the time all the sessions are done your course is finished you guys are in business that makes sense all right how you guys loving that are you guys excited how many guys could do that right now in the sec in this exercise right as we’re going through this this uh this five-day challenge it’s not like i have to record everything and i’ll finish just like just figure out what is it you want to teach what is your framework go and figure out you know build out your table of contents make each one a module go put it in software as modules and set up to be free invite people to come attend it record it and by time it’s done you’ve got everything finished okay that’s what’s exciting all right you guys excited excited as i am okay uh all right that’s step number three now that’s step number four okay step number five now is now we upload to the software right now this has been fun for me as we’ve got what did dean say there’s like over i don’t know how many ten thousand courses now they’re in the marketplace and um it’s interesting like um those who don’t know my background i own a company called clickfunnels and here at clickfunnels we give people we have an award called the two comma club award and you’ve probably seen them online people these big gold records with two commas and two commas stands for that means they they made a million dollars inside of a funnel right two common club award and uh in the last five years we’ve had over all or not over almost a thousand people who have won a two comma club award and people always ask like what are the people who win two common club awards know that the rest of us don’t know like what’s the big secret okay they always think it’s like oh they have a better product okay that’s never the fact the thing that the difference between someone who makes almost no money and people make a lot of money isn’t how good their product is even what the product is the secret is who has the best copy copy are the words okay it’s the headlines it’s the descriptions it’s the videos all those things that happen on the page okay and a lot of you guys have done good jobs with your good job with your copy um a lot of you guys have done a horrible job no matter how good your course is nobody will ever give you money because your copy is so bad okay so because of that we actually created a really cool tool we’re gonna give you guys for free today how many has won a new tool for free that’s gonna help you write all the copy on your listing how many that’s not how it works okay the people who sell a lot of courses inside of our marketplace or any marketplace are people who are really good at writing the copy that actually sells the course okay so copy is all of the words okay the copy as you can see here it’s the headline it’s the title of your actual presentation okay of your actual course it’s the description that gets people excited about why they should buy your course okay it’s the promotional video it’s the copy it’s the words in that video that sell the actual thing right it’s the description in the in the marketplace it gets people to click on it as i’ve looked through our marketplace some of you guys are pretty good at this but the majority are struggling coming up with good titles and descriptions that are exciting that they’re gonna get people that actually want to buy your product and so i have a business partner we have a separate software company called funnel scripts and i asked him i said would you be willing to help me to make some scripts that’ll make it simple for people who are inside the challenge to get descriptions and titles and video scripts that will convert really really well inside the marketplace and so jim spent over a week going through every single marketplace listing he could find on the internet reverse engineering them and building software that’ll make it so simple for you that you just fill in a couple blanks you click a button and it’ll literally go and it’ll write your headline and the title of your of your um of your course you’ll write the entire description for your course you’ll write the actual promotional sales copy video uh you plug in here it does all of the work for you you just have to answer a couple questions okay and now this tool is something we five was was um was posting listing now the last step i want to spend a little time on this step number six is you have to learn how to tell your story okay we’ve had a lot of questions the last couple days about this i wanted to spend a little time uh going into story help you understand why we do it how we do it okay and so i’m going to lead with um i want to kind of just draw a diagram those those who are my my clickfunnels members you’ve heard me talk about this before but this is one of the most powerful most important things okay when we tell our story and if you understand this you understand why if you’ve tried to sell things in the past and you’ve struggled or it hasn’t worked it’s probably because of this okay this is what happens um all of us at one time in our lives were normal human beings how many you guys remember back in the time when you were normal right were you like i was a normal kid i remember for me was like i used to wake up every day i go to school i come home i eat rice krispies i’d watch tv and then at the end of the day i have dinner and i go to bed like that was my life that’s what most people do their entire life okay so my question is like when do you remember when it shifted for you something happened in your life there’s some experience that shifted it for you right it could be anything for me it happened it’s happened multiple times in my life i remember when when the very first time i started wrestling i remember when i had this shift it was like i’m going to be a wrestler i remember i started learning about business i was like oh my gosh i had this epiphany this aha moment i’m like this is this is what i’m gonna do the rest of my life okay for you and your thing you guys remember when you had that shift you know from a normal person you didn’t really care at all so something like just grabbed you it could have been anything it could be finance fitness you know it could be like what vision boards like something just grabbed you that shifted you a little bit how do you guys remember that okay and do you remember that moment like there was this emotional thing you had this you had this emotional uh thing right emotion here right had this emotional moment and it was amazing it changed our entire life and then what happened right so you had this emotional moment it gave you this big huge i call an epiphany give this big huge epiphany and it started you on this journey okay and this is the bridge okay you have to pick you’re like oh my gosh this is going to change my life forever and then what happens we get excited right we start like i’m going to start geeking out on this and you start like going deep how many guys have ever gone deep on something you got excited by right so like you go and you buy every single book on the topic and you like devour it then you listen to every single podcast and you go to every single live event and then you start studying the science and the everything and like you start freaking out right and you’re going on this journey because you have this big huge epiphany and you’re having so much fun you start geeking out and this becomes you right i’m gonna put glasses on this person because that symbolizes them geeking out right you start geeking out right how many has to bend that process right with your thing you’re like i could tell you every single scientific reason why this thing will change your life forever right and so that’s where most of us come into this business we come into this world right because we’re so excited we know every single fact we have all of this logic excuse me this is logic we have all this logic that we now have as a tool to be able to convince the world that what we’re trying to share with them is going to change their life right and this is what happens okay all of a sudden we see our perspective customer we see them coming and they start walking by we’re like oh man this is my shot i’m going to change that person’s life it’s going to be like they don’t even know it’s gonna hit them right okay here they come here they come you see the person coming to you and then what do you do you pounce on him god you pounce on him right and also you start spewing out all of the logical arm arguments you have about why this is the greatest thing in the world you start spewing them you start telling them trying to convince them that your way is right and then what happens they’re like and they run away right how many guys have experienced that with your thing okay stacy’s over here laughing because she’s done that before she’s like i can save your marriage right okay all of us do that and the reason why is we have this thing because we’re going through this we get all this logic right and we have what we we call technobabble technobabble my handwriting is horrible i really apologize technobabble okay and um one of my uh one of my friends her name’s kim claver she actually wrote a book and it’s called uh if my product’s so great how come nobody’s buying it in that book she says the number one killer of sales is technobabble okay it’s you telling the person spewing out your logic about how you’re gonna change their life right and so we have to understand is that this is not like this techno babble here that is not the reason why you started on this journey okay you’ve geeked out you’ve won a thousand levels deep and you’ve enjoyed it right that’s not why you got started so we have to stop using technobabble i’ve seen some of your descriptions okay they are spewing forth the techno babble of everything you’ve ever learned in your life about how you can change that person’s life with your course right okay the problem is that we’re trying to sell logically yet you are not sold logically people buy things emotionally and they justify it logically okay so for if you want to be successful telling your story you have to get out of this you have to forget all this crap over here because all this is going to do is get their eyes to glaze over and get them to run away you have to go back on this journey come back on this bridge come back over here and remember back when you were just you remember the experience that happened that got you to shift what was that what was it that caused that epiphany for you something happened right and when that thing happened then you went on this journey okay it wasn’t the other way around you didn’t find out the science behind why your thing’s amazing that sent you on the journey okay something happened here something emotional okay and so the story we tell people is our story our epiphany bridge story the thing that shifted us that’s how you get people to transform that so you get people to follow you okay that’s the key that’s the most people miss okay so it’s become good at telling that story um and you have to tell it in a way when you tell the story it’s not in a way where i’m like hey let me tell you my epiphany i had blah blah blah blah and funnels were the greatest thing in the world right like that’s not that’s not the goal the goal is not for you to tell them the epiphany you had the goal is to tell them the story you had so that they have an epiphany okay let me tell you guys the story about the first time i really got this have you guys ever seen the tv show the prophet with marcus lemonis okay if you haven’t it’s the greatest business show on tv like it’s insanely good okay every single week he picks a new company he goes in there and he fixes them and he makes them amazing anyway when we were doing our our second live event ever i was like i want a keynote speaker i can’t afford tony robbins yet tony spoke at number three but i couldn’t afford tony yet like who could i possibly get and uh and i wanted marcus simonas like he’s amazing and so we luckily got him he agreed to come speak at the event and this is one of my secrets i was like i want to hang out i do this with tony as well so this is like if you want to build a relationship with the speaker i was like put in the speaker contract that we need 30 minutes before the event to talk and hang out to make sure he understands our audience and uh and uh he said yes i’m like sweet so before he like when he got to our event i had 30 minutes in a room i remember he kind of walked in the walked our room we saw our people jumping around he came back into our little meeting room with us and he’s like what’s happening i’m like what do you mean he’s like why are these people so excited outside and i was like uh i don’t know they’re excited about like funnels and stuff he’s like i thought this was like a software convention he’s like why is ever so excited and uh i remember we sat down the room we started talking and he’s like okay so tell me like for me my thing’s funnels right tell me this funnel thing how does it work and i remember the very first thing i did oh i broke my rule i shifted over to technobabble i was like all right let me explain to you how people can increase their conversions and make more money though i started spewing technobabble and marcus lemonis right unless he he’s like oh then why are they excited i’m like dude like yeah and i was like wait wait oh russell stop stop spewing technobabble tell him your story and i went back and i told marcus lemonis my potato gun story and how i created my very first funnel selling this i went on this whole story i remember i told him the story and i didn’t say and marcus that’s when i had my epiphany i needed a funnel and every business needed a funnel i didn’t tell him that i told him my story and i watched as he listened and i got to know my story he said man see russell every business needs a funnel i was like ah he had the epiphany we have to tell our stories in a way that they have the epiphany the same one that we have if they have that epiphany they will go on this journey they will geek out they’ll learn the technical babble on their own we just have to give them the epiphany that’s with the goal of your story to give them that epiphany okay and so the next question lasts like well that’s awesome so i get it but how do i how do i actually tell my story and i could literally do a three-day event on storytelling um we don’t have three days i got 14 minutes so i’m gonna tell you guys a shorter version but um this is the script we use so pull back slides so um this is what i call my epiphany bridge script and there’s there’s deeper versions this is one that’s a little bit lighter but this is one that we can we can cover the next 10 minutes or so um this is the story structure i use for all my stories okay and if you if you start studying story and again i could go for days on this um there’s so many good books like here with a thousand faces and uh and the writers uh journey anyway most most stories most movies follow the same storyline okay um from the beginning of time till now in almost every culture known to man like it’s crazy when you start understanding that so story’s not something we have to guess and just hope is going to be good there’s a proven story structure that works okay and so this framework uh my story frame or this is my story frame it’s how i tell my stories okay so i’m gonna walk you guys through it okay the very first thing i do when i start telling my story is the opposite what most of you guys are gonna wanna do the first thing that most of us want to do because we’re so happy and so proud of our stuff we wanna position ourselves and show people how great we are so we wanna get on this big huge pedestal and be like i’m rich i’m famous my marriage is amazing i want to talk about your good stuff that’s not where you start okay if you do that it distances you from your person okay you feel where that because this is a timeline of events right and you’ve you’ve achieved it you’ve got the you’ve got the result you’re like yeah i’ve done it okay you’re not from the top mountain yelling down hey it’s amazing up here that’s not how you do it okay you have to come back down and you go back to this side and you walk down the mountain you start to where they’re at and be like hey what’s up um i’ve gone through the same thing you went to let me tell you my story you start with your backstory okay you start with your backstory every good movie starts with the backstory you guys ever noticed that right it always tells the story of the character we start in the spot right and so the backstory is leading you to where you got stuck right that’s why the picture here of the car slamming into the wall i haven’t backstory if i got stuck and i couldn’t get any further and the reality is most of people who are listening to you that’s where they’re at they’re stuck as well okay and so you come back saying i got stuck but i got this really cool experience i had to go on a journey you guys here might start my journey this is what i had a chance to do and you start telling about this journey now if you look at again this has come back to story structure every good movie if you look at from the beginning time to now they always start telling the backstory of the hero right okay and they always start in the place and then the hero always leaves their physical location right think about lord of the rings frodo had to leave the shire okay if you look at um what other movie cars right lightning mcqueen had to physically leave his location to drive to california with a piston cup right every movie happens the hero has to leave they have to go on this journey so i told him the back story about how he hit this wall and that went on this journey let me tell you the journey i went on okay i started telling this journey this is what i was learning this is what i was going through i tell them the journey of what i was doing where i was going what i was trying to discover and then this thing happened to me okay this thing happened to me i had this epiphany you know epiphanies come in two different ways either you learned it or you earned it okay epiphany if you learned i mean somebody gave you you had a guide who’s like hey this is this process let me show you this thing right so i had a guide who i learned it from or i earned it to my knowledge like i had this epiphany at this idea like oh my gosh like this is the future right so i had this thing this new opportunity was that was presented to me that changed everything right you tell us this is how it changed me and then basically after i had this thing i turned into a framework and here’s my process i i figured out here’s a step-by-step process what i need to do to be successful and after i follow this process this process here’s what i achieved right we talked about the journey of achievement okay here’s what i here’s what i achieved and then down here though you have the journey of transformations two different journeys okay so for example if you guys listened to stacy yesterday stacy told you her backstory first on stage right she talked about her and paul and paul came and like it was all falling apart and like she slammed this thing boom this rock into this into this wall right i remember sitting back here she was speaking listening i was reading the comments that people were putting in there and everyone’s like oh my gosh i went through that i’m going through that right now into last year oh my gosh i see this is coming in my life like all you guys right relating to her backstory right she hit this wall and she didn’t know what to do she’s freaking out and then stacy had to go on a journey she’s like i had to go on a journey and paul wasn’t coming with me i had to figure this stuff out on my own so i went out there i started reading every book and every single course i was going through this and this and she’s going through all these things and all of a sudden she had this epiphany she started seeing as paul transformed as her marriage transformed all these things and she’s like oh my gosh this is working right part of his epiphany part of it she learned these things and she had all these these tools she was given to her and she’s like and it was amazing and then it was like uh the school bus story where she’s like i you know this is just this thing and she went back and said okay i’m gonna start teaching we’re gonna start teaching this what’s our framework how does this how do we get to here let me make a map let me show you how it goes and then she told you her journey of of achievement right what did she achieve like oh my gosh we helped tens of thousands of people we’ve done all these things none of that was so cool but then you always come back because the journey of achievement is the is the story that like the outside the outside person knows about right like if you’re watching cars you know that the goal is for lightning mcqueen to win the piston cup that’s the journey of achievement we’re all looking at right okay you know that frodo’s got to throw the ring in mordor you know that rocky balboa’s got to beat the polar creek we always know this journey of achievement right so that’s what we’re rooting for but the thing that makes us love the story and connect with the character is not the journey of achievement okay in fact if they achieve it or not doesn’t even matter lightning mcqueen did not win the piston cup in part one rocky balboa got not did not beat um did not beat apollo creed right like they don’t have to actually achieve it we don’t really care about that but the big question is who do you become in the journey what’s the internal transformation right and you see stacy transform from the ice princess to the most feminine bubbly person you’ve probably ever met in your entire life right this journey of transformation and this marriage and like how they’ve helped people in like that feeling right and so that’s our story structure so if you come back and sit back say okay what’s my back story okay where are my where are my customers at right now like where are they struggling okay because you were probably there at one time too so i come back okay where where was that at where what was the experience i was saying what was i feeling i gotta remember this emotion like what was i feeling back here in that time okay and for some of you guys it’s gonna take a little while to remember like what was that it was five years ten years ago what was i feeling you get back that emotion like oh yeah oh my gosh that’s what these people are feeling my dream customers that i that i targeted with dean like those dream customers they’re feeling that same thing right now i gotta tell them i’ve been there before i felt that let me tell you my story like i want the same thing it was hard i tried this i tried this and i just finally was ready to give up right hit this wall i was just like i can’t even do it it’s too hard and then something happened i decided to go on this journey right so i take this journey boom and here’s what i went through and here’s what i discovered is amazing from that here’s the frameworks we built and look what’s happened to us since then but more importantly not only have we achieved this stuff like look how we how we’ve transformed look who we’ve become in the journey right and then they see that and they’re like i want to go on that journey with you like all right come on it’s not that like i’m your guide you come back down here’s my framework i’m your guide here you go let’s go stepping over now your framework is taking them on the journey they’re learning this and you’re taking them to help them achieve and to become okay so that’s the story framework if you watch me tell my stories you guys that’s it i’m doing over and over and over and over and over again okay and so i want to show it with you guys today i hope you guys took notes on that and if not take a picture of this of this image here on the slides that picture uh you can recall it really quickly right it’s not difficult it’s just your backstory your journey the new opportunity the framework um you have that that as a as kind of a guide to go through but the question is like where do i tell my story how do i tell my story when like when do i do this right and the reality is you tell it a lot everywhere inside your course you should be telling your story you tell your story about how you learned you earned it there’s the framework right let me tell you where i learned there’s a framework for that okay but other places specifically for you guys selling your courses selling your products number one is that that video there right okay someone’s coming to your listing and they’re reading the description this is amazing they click on the video this is your shot to tell them your story like hey welcome to my course listing like um you know i’m gonna tell you guys if you’re here now my guess is you’re probably bubble and you come back to the back story you’re probably feeling this right now so was i let me tell you my story did it you take him on this journey and then that that video is the thing that connects with them that makes them want to take your framework to take your process and come with you on the journey that makes sense okay the other place we’re not going to get into too deep today but starting um tomorrow i’m going to start talking more about traffic how do we get eyeballs to show up right so that’s the next step is telling your stories how you get eyeballs to show up how many of you guys saw a video of me or of dean or of tony telling our story about something and you’re like oh my gosh i want that and you clicked on the button on the ad and then you showed up here or you showed up at upw or you showed up somewhere right how’d that happen okay it’s because all of us got off our got off our mountain up here with our big old result we came down and said okay let’s tell people the story so i went through all right and we tell the story from our heart all right this is amazing click over here click on the button here we’re going to take you on this journey we’ll take you on this this epiphany come into our training come to our live event come to our webinar come to our whatever the thing is and we take you on our journey okay so we tell stories all the time doing facebook lives through instagram lives you tell them in our blog posts we tell them through emails like we’re always telling these stories we have to become good at telling those stories and i kind of mentioned this i think on day one one of the hard things we’re gonna struggle with is like you’re gonna get tired of your story before your market does only understand that if i have to tell this potato gun story one more time i want to rip my eyeballs out i hate potatoes okay and i live in idaho for crying out i don’t even eat french fries anymore because i’ve told this story so many times okay because this is my origin story i tell over and over and over and over like in 18 years of doing this i’ve told this story a lot i’m like i gotta tell the story again but guess what when i tell that story i have to get back to the same spot i have to get back to the same emotions i can’t be like oh that’s a potato gun thing blah blah blah right okay how many times stacy have you told your story hundreds and hundreds of times you will get tired of your story before your market does so you keep telling it and keep telling it and keep telling it and new people are always going to hear and new people are always going to hear it okay so we keep telling our story we keep telling our story okay so that’s the that’s the goal he is that’s the process we want you to learn you just become good at it okay in fact as you will see here in a minute our homework assignment for you guys tonight is to go into the group and record yourself telling your story i want to hear it i don’t ever else wants to hear it okay going through this like what’s your back story what was the thing you hear like why are you on this journey what did you discover where are you going what have you achieved who have you become on the journey okay that’s what we’re all here i couldn’t care less to be honest okay i’m making trouble with this i cannot care less if anybody has makes any money at all through this platform or through anything okay i don’t care the thing i care about is i want you telling your story because there are people who are waiting for you people who you can literally change their lives if you would just be willing to be vulnerable for a minute and it’s scary i promise you it’s scary to be vulnerable like i’m gonna go tell these people that i don’t know my story because i have something amazing that i know can change their life scary okay but if we can get you to do that we can push you and shove you and whatever it’s gonna take for you to tell your story your people are waiting for you okay there’s a group of people you’ve been called to serve okay and they’re waiting for you to step up to tell your story so they can follow you so they can learn your frameworks they can learn from you and you can change their life it may be something dumb like a potato gun okay maybe something dumb like how to make your own kool-aid drinks at your house it could be something it doesn’t even matter okay the biggest thing that matters is you getting off the sidelines and starting this process okay i tell you what 18 years ago when i told my mom that i was selling dvds um about how to make potato guns on the internet guess what she thought that was gonna be a broke hopeless person right she kept asking me like well what are you gonna get a real job my mom this is my real job she’s like you can’t sell potato guns i’m like i know but this is just me testing the process okay if it works here imagine the next thing and the next thing the next thing you have no idea just go make a course and put up there maybe nobody buys it i just sell a ton of these things i sold a few okay but i learned the process and then i was like what’s the next thing i remember and the next thing i didn’t i didn’t have any other skill i’m like this is all i got right then by the time i met this guy who was the world’s fastest reader in howard berg i’m like howard you’re amazing i was like can we do a course together i know how to do this thing now because i did it once with potato guns i’m assuming more people than that you know want to learn how to read faster than want potato guns can i do a course fews like sure how to do a course i’m like you just teach i’ll take care of the rest he taught we recorded it i put it up and we started selling it and we split the money and also i’m in the speed reading business and i was like what else did i like i found this guy who’s really good at dating he’s on one of the least attractive humans i’ve ever met in my entire life yet somehow he always had like beautiful girls on dates and i’m like can you make like can you record some stuff are you telling that because the fact that you’ve ever talked to a girl ever is like blowing my mind the fact that you like so he recorded a course on that and we started selling we split the money like doesn’t have to always be your thing if you’re scared like learn this skill set for crying out loud how many deals could you do we did it in couponing i found some lady she’s on extreme couponing uh she would like go to the grocery store and um like 300 dollars worth of groceries and she’d get she’d pay like 14 cents for it i’m like this is amazing and so we got her she recorded a course took it so online split the money right like how many times can you do that over and over and over and over again for your own stuff for yourself and as i started doing this guess where i started learning i started learning different things i was like oh i could create a course on this what if i create a course on this what if i did and also like my own ideas started coming out things i’d be were that i was passionate about i started making new courses on okay it also got me excited about learning new things like man i want to go learn this thing but what’s the return on my investment that’s gonna take me a lot of time but if i could go learn that and i could create a course on com okay there’s your pre-frame now we’re gonna go through and uh actually show you guys the homework assignment now all these homework assignments have been listed also at byb homework.com i believe so if you missed any of them you want to go back to the day number one and catch up uh we can do that but that said let’s queue up homework number three all right everybody welcome to homework assignment number three now we’re gonna get you up and live inside the marketplace you can start actually collecting money so the first step is you have to connect a stripe account stripe is the merchant account you set up that allows you to collect money now in the past to get a merchant account it would take weeks or months um and it was a huge pain stripe has made it super easy most of you guys will be able to get set up within a couple minutes sometimes within a day or so but it’s really awesome so all you do is click down here scroll down to your integrations and click on stripe so click on stripe it takes me here and you click on connect new stripe account so click on that button here now if you don’t have a stripe account yet basically what’s going to have you do is go here and apply for a stripe account so you go calling film information here uh go all the way down here and then click submit and it’ll go and it’ll set up a stripe account for you a lot of times again you get instant approval a lot of times because you’re coming from mastermind.

com and so you can go in there and then now you’ve got a stripe account and again you’re setting up all your bank account where you want to you know deposit the money and things like that and so that’s kind of the easy way now if you already have a stripe account uh that you’ve already used in the past you can just go and connect it here so that’s what i’m going to do i’m actually going to pause this really quickly and i’m going to integrate one of my existing stripe accounts now stripes connect i’m going to go back to my mastermind i’m going to update the last things we need to actually set it live inside the marketplace so click back on dashboard takes me back to all of my course and masterminds i’ve set up i scroll back down to the funnel g1 we’ve been working on it click on that and then here i’m gonna click on edit details so instead of details now i have the last set of things i can put in here okay so come back i’ve got my name my description my thumbnail pictures um all these other things and uh what’s cool though if i come back up here and click on live now it’s going to show me all the rest of things i need to make it set to set live in the marketplace okay so for example down here it says okay this is a free or paid mastermind so i’m going to say this is a paid mastermind it’s going to ask me which stripe account i want to connect it to so i connect to that stripe account it’s gonna ask me if it’s a one-time or recurring okay so one time if i want to be you know three payments to 27 or whatever i’m gonna set mine is what at one time i’m gonna set my price point so i’m gonna make mine 197 dollars okay and then uh this if you want to test it so if you if you want to test in the marketplace make sure it works you can test it i highly recommend testing your product before it goes live um right now i’m gonna say no looks i’m gonna i’m gonna get this all live if you want to be searchable in the marketplace i say yes okay and i can put in a short description here so i could plug in um whatever i want my description to be in fact i’ll probably make it the same as up here so i’m just going to grab this description and make that the marketplace description as well and you can start adding in tags so tags are things that people will look for when looking for right so i could say funnels i could say my name russell brunson i could say sales like you put in different tags for things that people may search for and click on a category down here so these are some of the pre categories in here so this is an entrepreneurship maybe i want to put it also in business kind of pick things like that max members again i want to sell as many as possible so i’m just going to leave that blank and i agree to the terms of service and that’s kind of the last step i click update mastermind and now it’ll actually show up live inside of the marketplace okay now one thing i want to stress is don’t say it live in the marketplace unless you have some stuff um like you actually have at least your very first uh session live in here okay now for this example i haven’t uploaded all the other sessions which is okay as long as i say in here as long as i put somewhere saying hey this is coming you know in two weeks or three weeks so someone buys it they don’t just see one course right so i’ll do a lot of times i’ll come back here let’s say this one’s live these other ones are going to be going live in the future i may come in here and say public description or session content this session will be going live on um whatever i don’t even know thursday the 12th right or something like that and so that way someone comes in here and knows con the session’s happening i can put it on published but if they look at it they’ll know this is coming in the future it’s not here yet right and then i’ll click on update session so i may do something like that just so they’re aware if it’s in the marketplace and if you click here on the marketplace you have a chance to see what it actually looks like inside the marketplace okay so it is live you can see there’s my thumbnail image there’s my description there’s the different modules we put in here ahead of time and somebody can go and they can buy right now okay now for me this course is not finished yet i’m not actually ready for it to be in the marketplace which may be true for you as well if that’s true that’s okay all you got to do is go back let me see me come back here to the course and click on edit details and i’m going to take it out of live mode and put it back into draft mode okay so you don’t put yours live unless your course is actually live i want to show you guys the steps to get your course actually live inside the marketplace now that you’ve done that you’ve finished today’s homework assignment again if your course isn’t finished you can move it back to draft mode which is totally cool and save it but if it is finished then publish it live in the marketplace and then you finish homework number three that means it’s time to go back in the facebook group tell us you went through you integrated your stripe you got all the rest of things in there you test to see what it looked like in the marketplace and uh let us know by doing hashtag homework number three that we know you finished the process to get your product and your mastermind course
